  • the fray are simply amazing.

  • My best friend and I got in a fight yesterday... He's always been there for me and I took it for granted and he thought I didn't trust him... Truthfully, I do fullheartedly but he didn't feel that way, thankfully later on that day we made up

  • @0411jhernandez That's So sad! :,C I would DIE if someone did that to me. :,C

  • what's the song mean..

  • ahhhhhh.... I always thought it went "we're only taking turns 'haunting' this world..." guess it's 'holding'...

  • ... yellow pisses me off...

  • i dont know y but i always start crying during this song.I love it<3

  • This song is one of the most amazing and TRUE songs ever written. And the dork in me can't help but think about Peeta and Katniss everytime I hear it.

  • @Selah0412 Actually, I never thought of that, but it does fit nicely =)

  • Cause I'm out of school and I'm starting to understand a lot of things as I'm growing older. I've lost some friends and gained some news ones. and everyday I'm growing up and maturieng. Taking in expercernces and using them.

  • I think this song fits my life. Its awesome.

  • nigga you can trust me trust nobody. RIGHT!?

  • the most beautiful song with so much truth <3

  • Its a good song. ive trusted so many ppl in my life and most have betrayed me.

  • its sad to say i need to look up good music in order to listen to it. i can no longer depend on the radio stations for good songs like this.

  • @Suckafwesh09 Agreed.

  • Does someone know the real meaning behind this song? Cause I really wanna know. Great song and amazing lyrics

  • @WinningEnfinity

It's essentially talking about changing and maturing. being stuck in between two places and losing people throughout the process of progressing, but hoping that when they've matured as well, they won't have negative feelings towards the changes.

  • @WinningEnfinity This is what Joe said: "It's such a beautiful song. I kind of lose myself in it. It's the story from the early days of The Fray -- when we didn't have a label, and you didn't know who to trust, and people were telling us which direction to go in. It's a song about the feeling of almost being alone, despite there be a lot of people around."

  • @cockykid1234 I have to agree with Joe. I lost myself to this song when I first heard it, and I understood it.

  • I liked before I even listened

  • I think I'm not old enough..

    But I like it :)

  • You know, I hate those comments about the people who dislike a video. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion, so stop judging them. But when I really stop to think about it, I've never disliked a vid before, since I only watch vids I like. And if I don't like them I just... leave and get on with my life.

  • Who dislikes this .. ??

  • @MassiveM110 tell me about it, like seriously thanks to stupid popstars today who know nothing about music and rely on stupid autotunes people are forgetting the true meaning of music and the message behind it.

  • My life. LMAO.

  • I got shivers listening to this. It's that amazing. <3

  • The best written song ive ever herd !

  • This song describes me and this girl right now. we were friends since 2nd grade and now all of a sudden she hates me. I dont what i did to her but she hates me. the line that describes her to me is "I found a friend or should i say a foe said there's a few things you should know."

  • @shaylalynntyler6 i guess im almost in that situation but i knew her since 6th grade and she hates me because she misunderstood something that happened -.-

  • @shaylalynntyler6 Dat suxz hate wen stuff like dat happens *sigh*

  • suka jugokk...

  • 595 595 viewer... think it's nice! :)

  • @105815dw

Here's what their guitarist Joe King said:

"It's such a beautiful song. I kind of lose myself in it. It's the story from the early days of The Fray -- when we didn't have a label, and you didn't know who to trust, and people were telling us which direction to go in. • 18 didnt trust me

  • @SunSplash51 lol

  • @105815dw In my opinion, it's about a father talking to his son telling him that everything will turn out okay, that he can trust him, and even though it doesn't make sense now, it will when he's older. Just how I see it...but then again, everyone sees things differently so what do I know?

  • @shanae097 your opinion rocks!

  • The Fray never ceases to amaze me. Their songs have such meaning.. and they match my mood! They are just plain amazing.

  • Favorite song by the fray... They write beautifully true music. :')

  • im in love wit his voice

  • I kinda like that thi song doesn't have a music video; VEVO can't get to it that way :)

  • @TriedToFartAndUhOh Right i flippin HATE Vevo I miss Universal music

  • I love this song, it reminds me of all the things that you have to remember in life.

And ofc, I love The Fray ^^'

  • i feel like the fray have lived my life. all their songs have a specific meaning in my life and i feel like they've been walking around in my shoes. <//3

  • I heard this song when I got their CD "Over my Head" from my local library. I was listening to the whole CD on a long car ride and when this final track came on I fell in love with it! I love how deep the lyrics are and it really makes you think! :) After that I immediately bought the CD from a Target store.

  • When my best friend died of cancer at 14, I played this song at night and cried just so I could make a little sense of what happened. Now I do understand. We are only taking turns holding this world...and the line "We don't want you to see that we come and we go, here today done tomorrow" just kills me. Tyler, I will see you some day, and even though I miss you more than words can explain, it's not goodbye forever. There will come a time for us to be together again.

    RIP Tyler Blaine Genneken.

  • we're only taking turns, holding this world...

  • 17 people can't be trusted!

  • WHAT IS THIS SONG ACTUALLY ABOUT?WHO IS HE REFERING TO IN HIS SONGS?

  • @tacobell1500 yea umm do you speak english i mean i cant really understand your ...writing no offence

  • I totally agree with you Joshua, this band is just amazing everysingle song they create touches my heart and brings me to tears literally even if it's the first time I hear it.. Now that's what you call talent and real music

  • The Fray ALWAYS make songs that reach people. Thats basically the reason they suceeded as a Band. They made people cry and helped people cope with situations they're in, They are the light at the end of the tunnel for alot of people

  • @Joshua11195 Can you explain to me this song?

    Track #12

  • this song is so hard to understand cuz its so meaning ful but i love it becuz the parts i do know i love,

  • this song hao nan ting ooooo

  • exactly how i feel right now ... i like

  • we arent bieng bitchy we are just voicing our opinions

  • this song kind of reminds me of what a parent would say to a kid when a family memeber dies, like how they would attempt to explain what happened.

  • does this sounds like an angels perspective? like a guide of some sort? even as I type this i'm laughing at my self

  • I LOVE THE FRAAAAYYY !

  • this is waaaay better than justin bieber!

  • @truegangsta55 why would you even compare the fray to that pre mature girl justin bieber?

  • @truegangsta55 the more you mention that kids name the more exposure he gets.

  • @truegangsta55 that is exactly how the kid has become so popular because people make throw away comments about him, shit if people on here said my name every 2 seconds it would spark a desire to know, you have contributed to his success *winks* congratulations

  • Ah, this song is such a comfort. It's wonderful to listen to.

It's strange... it talks about a cold world that normally would kill me to listen to, but it's almost like... it's coming from the eyes of someone who sees it truly and loves it falsely. Am I making sense at all?

  • I watched two of my friends do a duet (dance/lyrical) to this. All i can say: I was trying to catch my breathe after wards :3

  • This song is beautiful.

  • ' We're only taking turns, holding this world. When you're older, you will understand."

I don't know what I'd do without The Fray. <3

  • God Bless the fray, I am really glad to see a band speaking to the world with music that has deeper meaning than most music these days. They're music points to the soul and god not the flesh, reading some of your comments that you love the song so much and it makes you feel warm and happy, thats because our souls are truly made and meant to know and love god. So God bless and I hope the fray will reach out to as many people as possible and remember, how to save a life.
