  • It would kill me if there was a screamer half way through.

  • @Pezreh omg thats the meanest thing ever. actual brian eno fans would totaly sit throught the whole song too. lol actually upload all his goodstuffs but with screamers lol. awsome. i hope someone does.

  • Excellent for sleeping

  • So relaxing ^^

  • relaxes people so they fall asleep if they've missed a plane or if its delayed.

  • Nice sounding ARP2600!

  • @BenBlauRecordings

    Not really, it's a DX7

  • A great music for making the film which tells the story of Air France 447

  • Brian Emo. lol.

  • mellow

  • Dannooll,

There is nothing enigmatic about my ironic comment. Consider this, if you were an intergalactic visitor what type of cultural artefact would you bestow on humanity? Music? visual art? food? language? Literature? Brian Eno is a genius, ditto. No he is not an alien, I thought you would have gathered that. But he did create an off shoot to Music Concrete'. That is very unique. Now listen to music for airports, is that not relevant to deep space?

  • WHO AM I!?

  • Music For Airports??? could u please elaborate?

  • @uffx3 ambient background sound for large venues

  • Yes, thank you? :) What I meant is: music should be written on itself or following an inspiration.

To write it thinking about it as if it were an object, a part of the décor - music for greengrocers', music for dentists - should say a lot. COnsumerism.

Thanks for replying, I see 5 monkeys downrated my comment, not getting the least understanding of what I was inferring.

  • Best music to do homework to!

  • We hear Brian Eno's short bit of music every time we switch our computer's on and off...

  • Windows 95 only...

  • @expertmax1 - also Windows XP Home Edition.

  • Really? I thought it was the microsoft team who did it...

  • @expertmax1 - Eno was asked for two very short pieces to start and close windows.

I read it somewhere. His hour long THURSDAY AFTERNOON is brilliant. music to send you to sleep. Check out Dr Jeffrey D Thompson also. An American guy.

  • @expertmax1 he certainly did the W95 startup sound at least. heard him being interviewed talking about the comission...offering him pots of money to write apiece which should convey the following qualtiies - followed by a huge list of them ( innovatiom..modernity..calm etc etc etc - a page-worth of them) - and then said "it must be no more than 3.5 seconds long ", and he thought yeah I'll do that !!

  • ENO=GOD

  • maybe because of the video but this music is something like song of trees

  • This will be the soundtrack for my film,

    Air France 447 the movie

  • Yes, Veeery Interesting.

  • Brian Eno is the perfect music to meditate to.

  • they have played this at the detroit airport arrivals and it's strangely wonderful to hear. i didn't know it was for airports LMAO

  • 5/5

  • very calming... soothing.... visually as well as audibly.... "spah-see-bah", sedelmann! ;)

  • I'm writing a piece called "Music for Prisons".

  • Johnny Cash already beat you to that concept.

  • @ffairlane57 hahahah, it iallready exists : its metal music.

  • im a massive u2 fan and love enos influnce on the music.

  • Could somebody expect early works of Eno for me?

  • Brian Eno was dropped off from a spaceship during WW2, in Dover, while London was being bombed. He is infact, 90 years of age.

  • Haha 61 years old, but very close.

  • Is it because of Youtube's rule on video length that you didn't put all of "Airport's"2/2 on yt?

  • just like this music

  • I love this music,especially 2/1 & 2/2.

  • Simplicity is the key I play this on a piano and improvise in my church. The church lady snuck in and said it was beautiful.Something else!

  • Brilliant. Eno is a true genius.

  • I feel like flying.. more like floating away..

  • Very nice ! and music for airports is wonderful too!

  • you can fuck to this no problem. you are just boring

  • wow mister 'Venture Capitalist', you sound sooo simplistic. I'm not wondered by your statement that you dont like this music.

It goes to show that it sucks to be simplistic. You are closing your eyes to this great type of music.

Perhaps if you want to fuck, you want to listen to Brian Eno - Strange Overtones.

    happy fucking, fuckface =p

  • Thanks for the info

  • i love YOUTUBE! its soooooooo educating...BRILLIANT XXX

  • @adamndirtyshame

Where do people like you come from?

  • What do you mean no lyrics? You must be deaf..

  • Then again, that was considered a feat in the 70s...Isn't Brian Eno one of the ambient music guys? I am currently devouring a biography on him XD

  • This is what exactly airports need. SLOW DOWN PEOPLE AND LISTEN. Then hear that this music IS NOT BORING. It's THOUGHT PROVOKING. You can get your house music on your crackberry while you frequently fly.

  • You really do have a small mind if you think this is boring! listen to the melody of the music! this has way more depth to it than any of the house music you listen to!

  • This music does something to me that I cannot adequately explain or do justice with mere words. Brian Eno belongs in the pantheon of musical Gods.

  • does anyone know where i can purchase eno albums from stores in the uk? please help thanks :)

  • Yes i bought my last eno album in what was virgin records but go on amazon and have fun.

  • Also try Gavin Bryars if you like Brian Eno. Jesus Blood, Never Failed Me Yet being his best work. If you ignore the religious element its life affirming.

  • For as simple as it sounds, I'm sure a lot went into it.

  • I listened to music for airports 3 the first time I smoked a bong of Salvia and my consciousness merged completely into the melody. It was the most intense psychedelic experience I've ever had or ever want to have. To become a Brian Eno tune is to feel what the eternity after the lights go out might be like.

  • Do airports use his music? Or is it just called music for airports

  • wikipedia says "It was installed at the Marine Air Terminal of New Yorks LaGuardia Airport."

  • Why don't you just go to itunes? They are all there.

  • yeah but ive always listened to his straight ambient stuff over the stuff where he was singing or was with a band

  • AWESOME SONG 4a GREAT VID !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great

    thanks

hope you have a nice day

this is one of my favourite albums and to see you create an amazing visual to a wonderful song is rather gratifying when you're sitting around at work; waiting to be inspired...

  • 'taking tiger mountain by strategy' is a really good album too - very different from this, with a touch of Bowie about it

  • ibetteru2

    start with Backwater

    MM

  • Which is off album "Before and after science" I believe...but excellent song. King's lead hat always been a favorite of mine

  • Green Lantern floating in the endless void of space and he listens to the symphony of the galaxies, music of twinkling stars and the waves of cosmic clouds...

  • yeah its a good start for sure

  • sounds like more like music of the universe... as in Spore...

  • he did the music for spore...

  • as in spore the game, or Singapore airport?

  • As in spore the game

  • It's beautiful...

  • the song 1:1 is a lot better.

  • you should make this video in summer spring harvest and winter at the same place

  • magic

  • Eno and trees is a nice match found on YouTube. His music has a surprising connection with nature, despite it's unnatural exterior on the surface (synths and whatnot).

  • that's for sure

  • @TheListeningChamber very lovely and well observed comment. I wholly agree. I think it's the fact that the music is very simple and almost flowing that reminds us of nature, which in itself is the simplest thing on the planet

  • @TheListeningChamber

well said. I definitely agree it reminds me of some kind of peacefull natural scenery (grassy mountains, rivers, etc)

  • very cool

  • nicely done. Very relaxing, just what i needed

after a huge christmas dinner at my dads with 4 screaming kids! lol

  • great stuff

  • Excellant! Really excellant. Simple yet striking.

  • thank you!

  • awesome ..

  • thanks very much
