homebrew toy sound and light effects

Great make. I work with arduino and I'm looking to make the original 8bit Mario fireball sound. Whats the best way to go about this?

man Im looking for that damn recording module but I cant find it xD...and Radioshack wont ship to canada for some tupid reason...and the source doesnt sell it....all I want is to make a gun that makes silenced sounding shots D:...no lights D:.... ;-;....also good work...although late post is late
