Don't lean back. If you are in the river you will have your face exposed. Use more hip snap, and try to come up on your front deck it is much safer.

in canoepolo/kayak polo the times you usually capzise is when you have the ball :P and then you dont got your paddle in your hands so, then the hand roll/balll roll is great to know, cause you dont have your paddle, and i find that the hand roll was easier for me to learn, havent learned to roll with a paddle yet, though havent had the use for it :P

I find it easier to hand roll "C to C" style rather than sweep. But that's a nice roll you got going there.

could never do it and I have practiced tons of times in the pool, I need my paddle or bail out for me

But what would you do if you lost your paddle? i only learn these rolls just incase i need them.

I can also do a non-handed roll, but ive never needed it...

yea i know if your on white whater you can't lose your paddle and i can roll with a paddle.

but i also play kayak polo and than the chance of losing you paddle is pretty big :p so i need that a lot more and i think its easyer to

No, its extrememly easy to loose your paddle on white water, ive done it many times messing around in weirs.

As for kayak polo, ive not done it in a serious manor so ill leave it to you.
