  • What pickups did you use?:) it sounds amazing.

  • Nailed it! :) Great playing.

What pickups did you use in this video?

  • Man who would vote this less that 5?

  • what the fuck is that sound i hear at 4:20? lmao!!! its like a shreik or some shit!!!! or a fart he squeezed out while he wasbendin the shit outta thoz strings! :)

  • It was the guy with the camera screaming or something like that out of excitement.

  • its really exquisite tone, but the vibrato is almost too much, just needs refinement. AMAZING SOUND THOUGH

  • very Zakk Wylde kind of vibrato, very strong, good though!

  • practice more

  • is he a guitarist?

    no i dont...unfortunately...

  • Maroulis: do you know Kostas Alexakis?

    He's from Greece as well...

  • Awesome playing George! I love that Heritage CM150 sooo much man! Cool video.

    CIAO.

  • great stuff.

everyone else on youtube's been playing with single coils.

    This sounds great.

  • 4:19 lol :D

  • bro, where did you get the backing track?

  • I have a Cornford MK50K MK2 head and am struggling to get a great sound out of it like this. I've tried a Z Best 2x12 cab (best sound out of it), Fender Super Sonic 2x12 (ok, but a little bright), Boogie Roadster, Bogner 2x12, Cornford 2x12 and 4x12 (both too bright) and a couple of others. Nothing sounds like this lovely tone. What cab are you using?

  • What guitar are you using?

  • this is a les paul heritage...nothing fancy...

but all of my guitars play great in this amp!

  • hey....this is MK50 I with the cornford cab and boosted with the Tube Zone and a boss delay pedal...

the guy that plays in the video has great tone in hands...

to be honest...all cornfords have great tone... it is weird that you cannot find your sound! the cornford cab with the vintage 30s...is a bit weird in the beginning...but if you get used to it... you will not change it. Vintatge 30s, are always helping to have the guitar out in the mix.

  • smerbly, what kinda tone you getting? in my experience with cornfords they can sound a little steely and thin, a bit eighties, Maroulis has the best tone ive heard from one of these

  • Beautiful.

    Dantehorse,

You like this better than Guthrie's tone?

  • yeah i do prefer this tone, but its down to the tone in your fingers too eh!

  • that's fuckin' awesome!!!!

  • poli kalos o maroulis.

  • My version is very different from your... you have an original sound, very good, compliments!!!

  • love it. im listenin over and over and over. your tone is very great.

  • you using the mi audio tube zone to boost your amp? or just with it on clean channel?

  • man, one fatcock rich ass tone! Nicely played, keep it up.

  • excellent playing, and great tone... butthe facial expressions were a bit over the top.

  • What the...?? Is he having an orgasm at 4:16?!? LOL

  • hahaha sounds like a Furby

    Nice playing by the way

  • Turn that gain knob down and work a little on your timing. Other than that, it's a job well done my friend!

  • KILLER TONE bro, great job, and nice vibrato, something people forget all together when it comes to playing this type of ballad, nice ;)

  • (ve)..me gusta la versio como la de IN LIVE.. felicidades.!!

  • I don't understand these comments that are complaining about the amp you use, you get such an absolutely amazing tone with that amp/pedal/guitar combo, and great playing too.

  • i have a hell cat. it can similar sounds. great amps, im selling my hellcat though...

  • good job

  • well played and nice tone , but the timing is off at some places. With this osng it is very difficult to nail the timing(took me half a year to get the timing right).

  • Nice tones man. Just sounds a little too big for the type of song but really nice all the same. Not much into the newer Mesas nowadays. Maybe the older ones. There are other 'boutique' style amps and clones that sound much better for the money.

Is that guitar a Heritage LP from the old Gibson(Michigan) factory. Really nice man and a Cornford. I pressume you're into British tones.

Where are you from man? I'm from Australia, the home of MI Audio. Cheers.

  • I am not quite sure about that? Clearly Andy is really a monster player and most of as can`t match his playing but- i think i can distinguish between what is due to playing and due to equipment. I am on the verge of buying me either a Mesa Boogie maybe Stiletto/ Roadster or Loanstar maybe a VHT ultralead, Bogner XTC, Diezel Herbert or a Cornford MK50, but i really have a hard time making a decision. As i can understand you you wouldn`t go for a Mesa?

  • i personally dont like VHT and Mesa... you named top gear but quite different... the Bogner XTC is also a very good amp... that i would like to buy but i have to sell first my Custom Audio OD100.. anyway i believe that the sound is on the hands... and all these great amplifiers can produce quality sounds...

  • Very fine song, fine playing, but Andy Timmon has a better sound than you. Maybe the Lonestar does better than the Cornford for such lead work or its your guitar?

  • i dont like mesa boogie man! personal taste... In my humble opinion Cornford rocks! Noooo... the hands of andy timmons have the perfect sound!Andy could play with a 15watt practice amp and to have better sound than anyone! unfortunately i am not Andy...

  • poli kalos hxos k wraio paiksimo..bravo..o cornford einai o mk59 h o mk50 II?

  • MK50 oxi o II!

  • Great sound, fantastic playing! Well done. Just a bit too noisy for my taste. You can't really hear it until you stop playing.

  • yes you are right... i didnt search very much the preset for the pedal... and had a bit more gain that it needed...anyway... The guy is a grrat player... i just have the equipment :)

  • omg fantastic sound nice

  • of course not! the amp is distorted more than enough and i use the pedal as a booster to make it a bit smoother and easier in the hand...add a bit of compression!

  • hmm. are you using it on the clean channel of your amp in this video?

  • mmm hey dud nice smooth playing. how is the tube zone?? im really considering buying one and i just would like to know more about it. what kinda range can i get outta it?

  • i like it very much as a booster to smooth the tone and add compression for challenging soloistic lines... it is a very good pedal but you should consider the base, meaning the amplifier. It has a big range of modern sounds and a lot of EQs so you can adapt it to many sounds. I have played some live shows with only the pedal on a clean channel of an amp...it was not great but it was okay. Buy one...to see if it suits your tone and can easily re-sell it.

  • very nice tone!!! altough the bridge sound is already so fat like Andys neck:)

  • pathiasmeno paiximo!!!!!!!san to gary moore ena pragma!

  • fucking well done pal! congratulations!
