Nothing against the band because quite honestly I've never listened to much of them, but this song seriously sounds like a high school talent show song. It's a good tune, but the beat is excruciatingly simplistic and it kinda drags on for me. Nice melody though and good lyrics.

I don't know because sometimes a beat that's too elaborate can ruin a song. For example if AC/DC tried to make their beats more complex alot of the songs would lose thier value and suck altogether.

I like this video and the performance is excellent. Rivers does what is needed for the drums. He doesn't go over the top but he does what the song needs. I agree Rivers is a good drummer amongst his other talents. I like this alter-lineup with Brian or Pat singing and Rivers playing the drums. It's different.

Rivers rapes this version of the song with his drumming. It never changes once.

Perhaps the drums didnt record right and they had to put a loop over top.

The transition to the choruses are flat and the drums make it boring.
