  • G'day. Tip for the day... Car batteries lose 1% stored charge daily, to Sulphation ; mine loses 0.95 Amp Hr that way. The dashboard clock & stereo pull 0.1 Amp together , so Daily Deficit is

-3.35 A/Hr. Which requires recharge with +3.68 Amp/Hr ; just to sit still ,parked..! With

2:1 Alternator step-up drive , that's 207 ml / A-Hr into the Battery. See the'SunFoil Project Short-talk (Update)' clip... The 5.333 litres/wk my SunFoil saves was 33% of my fuelburn. Do it yourself.

  • G'day. I've modified my 1.8 litre 1983 Subaru 4WD to be 50% more Fuel-Efficient , by adding a streamlined PV & a Regulator. The Static Drain's

    0.1 Amp, =2.4 A/Hr + 0.95 A/Hr per day Sulphation... That

    -3.35 A/Hr needs +3.68 A-Hr/day to recharge after 24 hrs sitting parked. The car uses 207 ml fuel , per Amp/Hour from the Alternator= 761ml/day , 5.33 L/week , 277 L/year... Search SunFoil... Short-talk (Update) is most recent footage.
