Wow, they got the head nun in the dub to sound just like the one in the sub! They sound so similar! This church is so badass...

@XfishX Yeah, to me this is one of the few anime where the voices in the Dub are spot on, unlike others where you watch subs because the English voices are just God Awful!!

And yeah the Church is badass. Wish the churches near me were like this, I may actually be interested in 'em then!!

I agree, the voices for this dub are amazing! In general, I support both the dubs and the subs. I have yet to find a dub with the voices THAT bad, but I'd believe that they exist. Heck, sometimes I even prefer the dubs since the jap female voices get high pitched for no reason... Or the dubs change the character just a little bit to make the char less... japanese female-like. If that makes sense lol!

@XfishX Fair enough-but some anime do have english voices that make you want to gouge out your eardrums. The 4Kids dubs of Yu-Gi-Ohs GX and 5Ds spring to mind...(shudders). Actually, a fair few 4Kids dubs are catastrophically screwed up, especially with the editing they did in some series!

And that does make sense, so don't worry about it.

@Urchie2009 4kids doesn't count! 4kids turns shows that can be remotely interesting into crap, like Yugioh. I understand shows like Pokemon being dubbed by 4kids; (don't hate me!) Pokemon doesn't have enough of a plot to warrant much work. But Yugioh and One Piece do have enough of a plot to have a lot of work invested in them. I understand 4kids having some shows that specifically target young children, and taking out things like guns and drugs. Imagine if 4kids had YuYu Hakusho... *shudders*

@XfishX That is all too true, and I pray to whatever deitys that exist that THAT particular horror doesn't happen!

And 4Kids could mess up a cheese sandwich! I don't hate you for the opinion on Pokemon, I kinda see where you're coming from there. But the ORIGINAL Yu-Gi-Oh wasn't bad, it's the series that came after that REALLY made my ears bleed! And One Piece...that was just instant fail on there part.

And that's enough ranting about 4Kids-that's on the OPPOSITE side of what Black Lagoon is!

@Urchie2009 lol! Animes like Black Lagoon probably make the heads of those who work at 4kids explode...

I can't decide which mission was my favorite... Just going between season 1 and 2, it's a tie between the vampire twins and rescuing Jane. I'd go with rescuing Jane though, because it had some of the best lines and scenes. From the shootout at the church, to the spooky chick Sawyer, it continuously drew me in. The vampire twins were just sad...

@XfishX Twins Arc was easily the most disturbing Arc out of the 2 seasons. My favourite mission...it splits between Jane, Washimine Clan and the 'El Baile De La Muerta' Arc (It's the last 'complete' arc in the manga and has a 5 part OVA series that just finished recently or will be soon over in Japan). All of them are pretty awesome, and Rock actually seems to act more like a citizen of Roanapur in the Washimine and Maid Arcs, which makes things...interesting!

@Urchie2009 That's cool! I haven't read the manga yet, but I plan to soon though. That's what I like about the series though, Rock's internal battle between surrendering to the dark side so to speak, and standing his moral ground. That, and his dealing with the psychotic ladies of Roanapur xP

@XfishX Do so as soon as you can. The manga actually has a couple of extra bits in the arcs that don't make it into the anime. They don't make any difference to the plot, but they're still pretty cool.

I think Rock is all but immune to them now. The washimine arc kinda proves that for everyone! And I think he still has that high ground...just not as high while he's drinking Bacardi with his dark side

@Urchie2009 Haha, I will have to read it! Do they curse as much in the manga as they do in the anime? It would suck to read that they curse more in the namga than in the anime, cuz the anime is pretty full of it... There's a video called Black Lagoon: The Fucking Short Version that has well over 2 mins of just the f word and f word derivatives, over the 24 episodes. Over 250 times LMAO! Perhaps the creator of the vid added some in, but knowing the show, I doubt it.

@XfishX I think it's about the same as the anime, maybe slightly less. I can't remember it's been a while since I've read my copies of the manga.

And I have seen that video-and if the recent OVA series gets dubbed (Which I hope it does) then odds are that count will get a LOT higher!
