Try and get into the beta, you might be surprised. I too was disappointed with the toy that is Spore. This is something new, it just happens to use some of the same technology. Comparing this to Spore is like comparing every game that uses the Unreal Engine... It doesn't do the games justice. They took the classic dungeon crawl and added some twists. It's not 100% unique, but it's something new.

Reminds me of one of the older games, like Gauntlet or Warcraft. I don't know about it, though. When I heard about Darkspore, I thought it would still focus on the creator modes. This seems more like a mediocre fighting game. Sorry, Maxis, but I think you're just selling out, now.

Wow, the variant abilties are a really cool concept. I was a bit disappointed tbh with the amount of abilities on each hero, but if you count variants there is more than enough to satisfied ;D looking forward to Darkspore!

i like the one that hlods and slams enemies, if you are teamed with someone who has an AoE attack, that would be brutal. But the health and skill casting bar could have some desighn. but the game is about 2 months until its ready, so i assume you will do that. Great job guys, looking forward to another awesome maxis game.

neat! :) I am looking forward to this game. Though, I don't think she would be one of my used characters. I just wish there was a slender bipedal tempest or ravager, like an amphibious Grey Alien, or Salarian from Mass Effect. :P
