  • @raschase well i train in capoeira nd gli have cousins that are blackbelts in taekwondo nd they thought capoeira was dificult nd very different from wat they were used too.

  • @poopytypeuptypants55c they mean 40 degrees celsius, which comes out to be around 115 ish ferenheit... I think i spelled ferenheit wrong though... C= (F - 32) x 5/9

  • I'm pride to practice Capoeira since I'm six and see some people looks it like a devastating martial arts :)

  • i just heard a mistake here...

Mestre Pastinha didnt created the Capoeira Angola, neither was the first or biggest mestre in his time. there were a lot more then only him.

  • It's strange to listen to portuguese with american accent... I don't speak english with portuguese accent...

  • I am Brazilian, but I don't fight capoeira, prefer Taekwondo :-)

    (Sorry about my bad English)

  • @HenryJonesVictor If you did decide to study capoeria, would it be a little easier because you practice Taekwondo?

  • @raschase yes, it would :D

  • 4:15 Perfect tesoura!

  • eat watermelons not kick them

  • It isn't good if you use a woman as a host for shows like this. Why? Not because they aren't good but people will go easy on them. And if her sparring partner was a guy he will just end up trying to avoid touching her breast or ass instead of avoiding her fists.

  • 40 degree heat?

  • fuck the haters VIVA MEU MESTRE VIVA CAPOEIRA

  • @MARASALVATRUCHA199

    Axé! Viva meu Deus!

  • anyone can break a watermelon...kick a coconut.

  • deadly arts brasilian jiu jitsu

  • @krisnnaabraham AHAHAH! you're a funny guy, really that's a great joke

  • @Taud you are a fuking moron retard

  • @krisnnaabraham well which is it moron or retard? someone cant be both so really... what does that say about your intelligence? you think you can lay on the cement at a bar or in the parking lot and arm bar someone and tap them out ring style? You are the fuckin retard there aladdin

  • one expert in capoeira can do all move of karate - taekwondo - mua thay - kick boxing . a black belt in taekwondo or other matial art can not do a move of capoeira .

  • @krisnnaabraham lol wat

  • i practice capoeira and i can do all move of kick boxing - karate - mua thay - taekwondo - ... is for that reason capoeira is the best martial art .

  • @krisnnaabraham I do Break-Dancing... and i can do those moves too...

    You're lame

  • . a good karateca cannot do a capoeira move-- a good capoeira can do all move of karate - kung fu - mua thay - kick boxing . capoeria is the best martial art . period

  • @krisnnaabraham Yeah a good Capoeria can do all those moves... so use them instead of your useless capoeira... can it's more effective... period : )

  • @Athrun000 - Capoeira is not useless. There are no useless martial arts. A good capoeirista can make your mom cry. I'm not a capoeirista, even though I've practiced it for 2 years. Capoeira is great to get you in shape, elasticity and others. You should open your mind and try a bit. You'll agree with me: there are no useless martial arts.

  • Comment removed

  • capoeira is a good style but very unstable its easy to beat with jiujitsu, judo or wrestling

  • I swear these guys seem to defy gravity!

  • its pronounced like an "h"

    "roda", (ho-da)

  • People need 2 stop arguing like a bunch of bitches about whether or not Capoeira is effective. Capoeira like all martial arts have strengths & weaknesses. All martial arts are effective theoretically. It all comes down 2 experience & application of skills. Obviously I nor anyone else can educate people about such topics. People are quick 2 judge something like Capoeira b 4 they understand what it truly is.

  • it's spelled roda.. but the r is pronounced like an h

  • Hey everyone, Capoeira's athletes. the comments are closed already!

so don't worry about continuing writing, because in a street fight this sports is useless. nor against a TRADITIONAL martial artist, who can use anything to preserve his life outside the ropes.

  • wat a waste of watermelon. and capoeira is very serious u should try it and stop acting tough on youtube comments

  • Deadly Arts - Capoeira!!

    Deadly??? !!!

ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha don't shit me, that monkey dance it's not a martial Art and even less it's deadly..

put a capoeira "fighter" against a Sipalki or other martial artist and then they will have to call a hearse for pick up the rest of the poor monkey dancer.

  • @maurisciensen it is a fool who doubts what he does not know

  • @maurisciensen

type in youtube: crazy capoeira 20 seconds and watch the video...

you'll see what a capoeirista can do to other martial artists...

Listen, I'm not trying to pick a fight, nor do I state that capoeira is better than any other martial art, they all have advantages and disadvantages...

in the video I suggest you should see, you can see a capoeira practitioner take out a mixed martial artist...

  • @capoeirrra capoeira is useless shit. fact.

  • @capoeirrra seen that video before... thats from a movie. it's not real

  • Judging by ur comments, u know nothing about Capoeira. A martial art doesn't judge itself, people judge the martial art. The key to winning a fight isn't about what fighting style 2 use, but how 2 use it.

  • in today's confrontations fighting is so close range and I think wing chun is the best in handling these types of situations. what do you guys think?

  • Sur les traces des grands maîtres en francais

  • Why so much dis towards the host?

I think shes pretty cool for having an open mind towards the martial arts and for hosting this show.

  • wow lk at the kicks, just goes to show capoeira isnt a dance form, its a true martial art

  • Axé pra mestre acordeon, e un gran mestre da capoeira

  • yey atlast proof that capoeira isnt a dance

  • @uarepoopy Capoeira was called dance to undercover the real meaning of the martial art, because was a repression force of the africans descendents that was living in Brazil, during the slavery.

  • @uarepoopy Anyone who's been in a capoeria involved accident knows its not a dance.

  • @magicemail hehe ye i know.. but seriously i wrote this 2 years ago im in tricking now XD its not that im against capoeira now but im kinda over it

  • @uarepoopy It happens. I just started. I gotta say, it feels kind of. . .good

  • @uarepoopy Took you this long?

  • breackdance is a rip-off of capoeira

  • lol

  • why go all negative? can't you just say inspired, or has it's roots from capoeira?

  • most if not all breakdancers didnt even know capoeira existed. and how many breakdancers in the 80s were capoeira practitioners?it wasnt until the 90s that you heard that theory and i know because as a kid in the early 80s who used to read inside kung-fu,black belt magazine, kick illustrated, fighting arts and karate illustrated not one breakdancer from the n.y.c ,rocksteady crew or any other crew ever made that claim.the first televised capoeira moves were on an episode of kung-fu in the early70s

  • I started to break, and decided to go into capoeira instead because of that...initially i just wanted to be a better breaker, but that kinda went out the window as i got more into it. Theres a sick sick breakers vs capoeiristas video on here you should check out if you havent already..the breakers win, but its ill to see the co-relation between the two disciplines

  • i like watermelons :-)

don't kick them, give 'em to meeeeee :-D

    btw, nice movie :o)

  • some lady that can barely fight putting on a show about martial arts...

  • roda pronounced with a r? lol.

  • i noticed that too lol

  • here in brasil, all words with a R have this sound

and the H has no sound

  • that woman is such a fraud. she cannot do ANY martial art.. they said she did i dunno what kind of sport anymore for like 25 years, well... she STILL sucks..

seriously EVERYTHING that could be done wrong, she does!

  • Gotta love the watermelon destruction! ;) And my friends call this break dancing! The nerve of them... lol

  • "And my friends call this break dancing! The nerve of them... lol "

Well you gotta admit, when these folks "dance," they're certainly capable of breaking something, right? lol

  • Haha, good point! I love capoeira, be it a dance or a martial art. And the best thing is: its both.

  • break dancers wish they were capoeiristas. lol

  • @daigo9999 capoeira LOOKS like dancing because thats the way it was created, back when blacks were slaves in brazil they were not allowed to train for combat so they had to "disguise" it as a dance, and they sang and played instruments around in the "roda" (means circle: pronounced ho-da) but it is very deadly and the basic kicks punches and throwdowns ARE useful in fighting. loook up capoeira mma and youll see what i mean. all the "floreiro" or fancy-looking-moves-and-acrobatics may not be so

  • can someone please tell me the name of that song that begins at 0:46

  • It could be anything. Probably just another roda berimbau rhythm.

  • It's the song of a instrument used in capoeira, is called "berimbau"

  • It sounds like a variation or Regional de Bimba.

    X - Buzz

    O - Open

    P - Press

    it goes

    X X O X X P X X O O P

  • Sao Bento Grande de Bimba is the name of the Toque :)

  • Thanks for the upload, it is useful for all of us who loves capoeira.

    AXE

  • Thanks for putting it in English.

  • Thanks for putting this up. I love this series and recently started Capoeira, so....Thanks!
