This is simply misleading, mean-spirited and full of lies. Whoever created this trash should be ashamed of themselves, Jesus would be embarrassed! I have been personally involved in choosing organizations that receive CCHD funds and the vast majority do great work to help the poor pull themselves out of poverty. The whole focus on Alinsky would be funny if it was not so sad. Catholics with a heart for the poor will learn the real facts before you listen to scare tactics like this garbage!

If CCHD gives 1% to Alinskian organizations it's irresponsible and immoral to support it. Why aren't we giving to Catholic Organizations that are TRULY CATHOLIC? They are the most effective in helping people. According to the video "Alinskian organizations receive 1/3 of CCHD funds." Is this not correct. Show some proof. The video poster gives reference, do you have any?

The proof is to be found in the CCHD grant lists, which are available at the USCCB website. There are 5 major Alinskyian networks and several smaller ones. The names of the organizations belonging to each network is available from each networks website. You must then compare the names there to the names of the CCHD grantees. Depending on which year of CCHD funding we're talking about, it runs about 1/3 - 1/2 of the total. Anyone can look at this; it's public information.

Thanks for the reference.checked out the website.Again we should not give to Alinskyian organizations.I'm glad USSCB has cut ACORN funding,but these organizations stink of socialism,which the Church firmly opposes.Authentically Catholic organizations could do so much more.We'd be better off giving to One More Soul, American Life League,Saint Vincent de Paul,& countless Religious Orders that serve the poor & not have to worry if they are supporting homosexuality,contraception & abortion.
