It is irrelevant that he's gay. It does matter that he's been a hypocritical, anti-gay politician. He chose to make sexual orientation an issue.

2 possibilities:

1) He's guilty of public lewdness (most likely).

2) He's straight and is now a victim of the anti-gay bias that he's contributed so much to.

Either way, no sympathy deserved. He's resigning Saturday, anyhow.

Ironic that he fought for the legislation that forced people underground to seek each other out in such a way. He who protests so loudly has much to hide... Looks good on the religous republican hypocrate. No sympathy here.
