I had this game when I was younger. When I beat it I was like....who the fuck are these people? I just beat a racing game so why am I watching a video with 2 guys walking and watching a sunset together what the fuck does this have to do with raceing? The opening movie I can tell because theres a guy going around a track....this was just homo....good game though for its time.
@EDISON001R yea, I understood that they we're at least famous. But what did it have to do with the ending...like I really wanted to see 2 guys watching a sunset together...its like, if they made a video of The ROCK and STONE COLD sitting together on a row boat singing you are the love of my life after you beat SMACKDOWN Career mode...
@dms7dx LOL! Well... you're right, but the ending show many nice places about Tokyo. Rainbow bridge, skycrapers, R33 GT-R, clear sky, and the bay area. And cool japanese rock music. :)
@EDISON001R Ok...still nothing to do with racing. Maybe i'm just not understanding the concept. If this was a story of their lives and at the end it showed them meeting up and rehashing their careers then fine. But it was a series of illegal random races around Tokyo that i'm sure they never par-took. Wouldnt it be better if it just showcased their actual racing like in the begining? And maybe some awards or trophies from their victories?...oh well...
@dms7dx Well, you beat the game, so this has a lot to do with the ending. They are emotional now because you beat the Drift King, so he needs to goto the ocean and do some sightseeing so that he can refresh his brain to beat your ass again the next time you meet. This isnt a Wrestling game, its a racing game, and being at an ocean has lots of things to do with cars
I belive it's a good game, has a fantastic soundtrack and it's incredible too to see the important persons who appear on it. I belive the car that it's on background of Bandoh it's the Toyota Corona Exiv from 1996 JTCC. I saw too that on the credits appears BPS Motorsport entertaiment, and that sounds interesting, because that company teorically released a JTCC game on the same year, but there is a very low amount of information. Some people say that was never sold... Anyone knows something??
I'm sorry but this game was very hard! it took enormous skill, even though it was a bit arcade it wasn't a Super Arcade game, beating that NSX, doing perfect slides at 300kph inbetween 3 city buses, gauging your slide without seeing through the side window, only the ELITE need apply, thats why this ending is so special, it was THAT hard to reach! thats why Tsuchyia says he can't believe you beat him, he played the game and knows how hard it is!!
Oh my god, thank you for posting this. Back in the day, I used to have to beat the Drift King just to hear this song!!! It was that good, and worth it.
This was one of the worst racing games on PSX, and one of the worst of all time. The total lack of physics, lack of speed, lack of a decent driving model and lack of variation in the courses plus the laughable lack of ability to do a 180° turn all amounted to a real turd.
@AlgerianBanjo Hey slow down! This is a game from 1996!!!! Simple arcade game, not a simulation. It was a very good game with good feeling, and good soundtrack. If you not believe to me, watch the other comment. :) And you go play with nfs if you like it.
Back in 1996 it was a poor effort. Back then there were many games that actually had proper physics and fully 3D game engines. During the mid 90s, there were strict curfews in my country and I was reduced to playing the PSX for hours every evening and loved racing games. I wasn't difficult to please, but this just came off as the laziest and dullest racing game I ever played.
I am not a fan of the new NFS games at all, but the old ones were fantastic.
Thanks for putting this up! I was obsessed with this game when it was current, it was really REALLY hard to beat the NSX on the last level, just looking at the guard rails at 300kph, estimating your slide inbetween huge blue buses, they did NOT mess around with the difficult in this one! awesome game! cinematics AWESOME, music Awesome! tuning, awweeeesome!

@dms7dx These 2 guys are legends. Keiichi Tsuchiya one of the best drivers worldwide, and he is the driftking.
Bandoh is a very good car tuner. The biggest homo is ken block. His face bigger than his knowledge. And his homo friends, Pastrana and the others...

@fewielgo Possible that JTCC game is "only Japan" That's why have less info about that game.

@AlgerianBanjo You're right the NFS was good until the porsche2000. My favourite the High stakes.
