How about Harper's king hit on Cook! I was there on the Dandy's right half forward flank and saw Flaherty flattened by that dirty mongrel Allen! Gee what an era. From the famous '67 Grand Final (won by Dandy by 3-4 goals) to mid 70's.
Great stuff Phil,with the old VFA footage, inwhich is very hard to get.Even the VFL from the 70's home and away is impossible,although you could get it on fox footy a couple of years ago.Every now and then i type in VFA footy into utube but nothing comes up until today so i'm rapt to see this. I used to go down to Shepley oval in Dandy as a kid in the 70's to watch the Sunday games.Then moved to Melbourne from Doveton and followed Preston and then Prahran and went every year to the VFA games.

This is great i was at the game and i was in the Dandy rooms at half time.
Had friends of the great Frosty Miller. GO THE RED LEGS. Still have Dandy jumper.
The VFA WAS GREAT just had to walk down from Doveton.
