But going back to crime news, most of these happens only in depressed areas, and why would foreigners be strolling in these areas? so my point is just exercise common sense.. When I saw Petare, I was in Chacaito, [in the highway] going to 'Altamira' in bus, I raised the sight and saw in the horizon (so far) Petare.

Yo a caracas no la cambio por nada por ser la ciudad en donde me crie y tengo a mis seres mas queridos pero lamentablemente el resentimiento social que existe en nuestro pais es demasiado grande y eso se refleja en la inseguridad. Caracas is a very very beautiful and huge city, and you're right, you don't have to go there. Petare is the capital of "sucre" and it's awaaaay, I've gone to Caracas quite alot of times, and the nearer I've get to Petare shouldn't be called 'near' xD... When I saw Petare, I was in Chacaito, [in the highway] going to 'Altamira' in bus, I raised the sight and saw in the horizon (so far) Petare.
Chacao, Chacaito, Altamira are the more beautiful places I've never seen

Caracas is a beautiful place, is not that dangerous as it seems, these images are from the barrios or shanty-towns where the things are so different. If you visit Caracas, you don't have to go to dangerous places, that's the informal part, I always wonder why the f*ck they don't film the metropolis, the largest malls, the longest buildings, the beautiful parks, I've gone a lot of times, and all I saw was beautiful and awesome. As a result of Venezuela's oil driven growth and poor management Venezuela has the highest inflation rate in Latin America (which is obviously not helping the poor). Poverty and unemployment falling? Hmmm, that's only true if you look at Venezuelan Government Data Sources. Pay a visit to Venezuela to get the real picture.
