My dad's sister bought a 1960 Chevy Impala new just like this one only it was black with red interior & i first saw it in 1962 & I was knocked out by it. She special ordered it from the factory with the 348 tri-power, 4-speed on the floor synchromesh. Extremely rare even then, most '60 Impala's had the 283 & powerglide & turboglide automatic. But I never saw another one with factory 4 on the floor even in the early '60's. She bought it for drag racing, she sold it in 1964 for $500.

I remember my dad bought a new 60 Impala. It didn't sound like that. His was a stock 283 thru the mufflers. Could this be a 348?
