THEY COULD GIVE THE JACKSON FIVE A RUN FOR THEIR MONEY! THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT JACKSON FIVE WAS SIGNED WITH MOTOWN AND THE FIVE STAIR STEPS WASN'T!
Fred Tenzer - You should listen to Felix Hernandez on 98.6 KISS FM(in NY) . I think those are the correct call letters and #, anywway, they play way more oldies of soul/R&B groups than CBS FM. Felix Hernandez's "Rhythm Review" is on Sunday afternoons & he sometimes hosts dances as well.
It is a beautiful song. I wish that WCBS-FM would play this song. My name is Fred Tenzer, I was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA, I live in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA, and my e-mail address is rocket88_doowop@yahoo.com
so wonderful to take a stroll down memory lane to hear songs that touched your soul and put a smile in your heart. Songs like these made love sound like what it is great!!!!!
just like "danger she's a stranger", this too, is one of my all time classic favorites. i was in grade school when it was out, but i remember dancing to this one as well when i was a teen growing up in st. louis. again, this is when music was music.
Come and join us on FACEBOOK in the music group "THROWBACK JAMZ; MUSIC THAT'S GOOD FOR THE SOUL" to get a dose of what u need! CHECK US OUT BY SEARCHING THE ENTIRE NAME OF THE GROUP ABOVE!
The lead singer from the five stairstep to me is in that category with the lead singers from the New Birth and Tavares , their styles have some similarities to me for some reason. Oh, and the lead singer for The group Surface, who sung Happy and "More than just friends"... for years I always thought they all had the same smooth vocal like styles.. Yeah Boy !
the last time, i seen the yougest of the group, in Atlanta, and the sister also the last i knew and others were in Calfornia thats what the youngest brother said he used to come to my house thier in Atlanta peace
im too young for this one. im only 38, but this was my aunts favorite song when i was a kid. i clearly remember spending the nigh at my cousins house and her playin oldies all night. and the destinctive sound of the five stairsteps always stayed with me. i could easily identify the sound they had whenever i heard it as i grew up emersed in hip hop!
at this time my world was that of fantasy, if I wanted something, I fantasized and lo and behold it would appear.. Cubie, and the Five Stairsteps a toast to you and the memories..
