  • For thoes that don't know about tonys death - Tony De Vit died in 1998 at the age of 41 after being one of the most influencial and respected dj/producer of his time. Tony worked with everyone from East 17 to some of the most famous people in the industry now. Doctors told Tony that he was only stressed and just needed to take a break from his tour in America. Days later he collapsed.

  • Miss you Mavis!

  • Reminds me of shit tvc parties....

  • I remember fergie telling me about this video back in 2004 when I was fairly pally with him back in the day...the guy in the fur coat is actually him! Just been mixing away put this on and it spurred me to search for the video and low and behold a young Robert Ferguson! This was the tune that got me into dance music my mum had it on a 'retrospective of house' tape and it changed the way i listened to music forever...I was only 8!! Amazing tune...god rest your soul Mr De Vit x

  • @gazzasouth

i used to like Fergie but at a TDV memorial @ Storm his laptop wouldnt synch with the mixer so he sacked his set off, kicked a few lads off the second room decks & played electro. Pete Wardman, Andy Farley & Nik Denton covered his set which went down like a gem but would have liked to hear him play as he was so close to him.

  • great tune one of my favs

  • Ah, the Crystal Rooms: also dreadfully missed. Love, love, love this tune. It never seems to age. Shame about the terrible, cheap video. Doesn't really do it justice....

  • Cheeky monkey.

  • Did you produce it? S**t man, I'm sorry. Hey, it may look like that now but at the time this style of video was big! Its very word-seque which was the fashion at the time. Its not like I've ever produced a video anyway so ignore me!

  • it was qute low budget. But all that artwork was very expensive. It's certainly not my favourite piece of work, so perhaps you weren't being to harsh.

  • Would you two get a room..

  • @supervixen6 . i miss the crystal rooms ( sticky carpets) to .

  • my fav set of his was at Naughty But Nice, Hereford 1998-0-22..pure genious

  • Tony de vit was the man that got me in to hard house! Shame hard house is now gone totaly off the wall bollocks! Its to hard now. TDV"s records combined house with something a bit harder, ,hense the name hard house. Now its just shite! I'm sure it would never of happened if he was still alive! Rest in peace me old mate! xxx

  • Whatever happened to really good deep "House" music?

  • Could not agree more! I know music moves on but like you said if Tony were around today then Im so sure things would have been much better on the House scene.Tony De Vit combined a happy catchy beat to some hard house beats. The king of house Tony De Vit!!!
