I have been using this method with a difficult problem I have. I have a couple questions; When I "cycle through" the three questions, how long will I be spending on each question? Will the problem "come back" after I have done the questioning work? See, when I'm worried by the problem, I have been doing the cycles as fast as once every ten seconds. Seems to work, but the problem re-occurs. I repeat, and get some peace.
@gilbertcorrea57 You don't "Let go of your goal", you let go of the attachments(Things pushing you towards it) to your goal and your aversions(Things pushing you away) to your goal. These conflicting thoughts and feelings hold you in limbo. You might be too attached and act in a desperate way. Or you might have a strong aversion(lets say fear) that pushes you away from doing the exact thing you need to get your goal. When you let go of these blockages, you act correctly and achieve your goal.
is it possible to do the sedona method wrong? what if i say something bad and release something i dont want to release (i have ocd and my mind tends to play games). I'm scared that I accidentally released something I didn't want to. thanks
@poonanipancakes No. Anything that is layered in your mind is just artificial. When you release anything you're always letting go of layers to reveal your true self which is limitless(Sounds like bullshit until you experience it yourself and enjoy the wonderful peace and tranquility that comes when you true self is revealed). Underneath all thoughts and feelings is this amazing happiness and joy that results in correct effortless action and wonderful gains.
To everyone who's reading this comment, you need to understand the following..(1) You do not need to rely on this program or nor another person to "get your head straight" and to solve your so called problems (2) You are connected to the creator, you have to look inside to heal yourself..no program can do that for you...it can help, but you don't need to follow anybody or anything to get healed from all of the emotional, physical, and all the other kinds of abuse.
@kidusd In other words, use the supports that you feel you need, and not what another tries to impress you to need. If it is real to you that you have need of nothing, then that is true for you. On the other hand if it is your reality that you need some other's help, that is also true for you. Don't worry, one always finds the right balance between solo DIY and facilitated DIY.
@sarahgal19 1. Attach a postive and empowering meaning to your negative experience. 2. Consistantly focus on what you want 3. Follow through with massive intelligent action. ...alternatively you could just use The Secret :)
@selfhelpguy it would seem that what you describe is in simple brainwashing, and has zero spiritual value. what is described here is a practical way to implement forgiveness. our true well being is dependent on our ability to forgive.
maybe i'm wrong, but to try and "Attach a postive and empowering meaning to your negative experience." seems like a paint job, as the negative experience will still remain.
@skyvorpal Phrases like "spiritual value" don't mean much to me. Perhaps it means something to you. In any case I insist that there is nothing practical about this thing which you call spiritual value.
@selfhelpguy Your suggested approach is akin to installing a more powerful program on a computer with a virus. Until the virus is removed the problems will persist regardless of the power of the program you install.
@AdwordsIncome Thank God I read Jiddu Krishnamurti's books. Otherwise I too would be buying into these useless self help methods. It might help some severely depressed persons to a certain level, but this I don't think can get you anywhere near the truth.
@cristopractice I am glad it helped you. But, I don't think I will be using it. I tried the Silva Method some time ago and that was okay. I still think self inquiry is the best way to freedom.
How would u know what part ov the sedona method would be of any good to you ?.
iam guessing that there are different parts to fit different issues?.
still money is behind the whole thing and words and advice for fellow humans should not not come with a price tag.
Just because other people place price tags on everything dosint mean everyone should do the same more so when its attatched to the tag of helping others.
@stevennewton08 I've got news for you, Steven. Money doesn't "prey on people". Did you just make that up? I have more news for you! The Sedona Method is indeed available for *FREE* to everyone who is cunning enough to obtain a library card and take the time to borrow the book of the same name and actually DO the method... not just read about it. If you are willing to make the effort to change your life, you can have what you want. It is all there... for *FREE*.
@stevennewton08 So helping people move throughout a city by charging them 3 dollars to ride a bus and pay for the gas and bus driver, is wrong? You're paying for a service that helps you.
I bought "The Sedona Method",(a book that has helped me more than any psychologist, any teacher, and politician, yet people still pay money towards those people) for 17 dollars.
Hi, have you seen the new video of Lester Levenson? I saw a video of him when I did the course in 1991. But haven't seen one recently. He seems to relaxed and calm and in a different anti-stress state. I think that's the goal to reach towards.
good

What is it exactly that the video means by "letting go of your goal?" does that mean to let go of the goal? Doesn't that contradict "The Secret?"

For me, it has created enormous freedom and joy without effort

is this just about money preying on people who are desperate for change and in crisis.
i dont think i will know the answer to that unless i part with the fees the sedona method charges.
its a pitty i heard of the sedona method thinking it was to help people but like so many other things theres a charge.
