  • the best way to make them is actually to refrigerate them for at least 2 hours after washing them out. make sure its refrigerated in a bowl full of water.

then, fry them once. once they start to turn a little brown, take them out. let it cool now. fry it again, and you have perfectly crisp fries. EVERY TIME.

  • i like your way of putting them in i just jerk my hand back fast lol

  • he sounds like the old man in family guy xD

  • This is a good video :) u should be on tv :)

  • I'm hungry.

  • I add the salt to the oil as they fry away. seems to impregnate them with the salty taste better then just adding it afterwards. i also add black pepper at the same time. good video.

  • why do you freeze them? I don't freeze mine and was wonder what difference it makes.

  • does it matter if u leave teh skins on? whats the taste difference?

  • @tanory07 No, it does not matter whether you leave the skin on or not, they are great both ways. I would try it both ways and see how you like them.

  • YES I NEEDED THIS SO BAD IM FINNA GO MAKE SUM NOW :-)

  • mmmm I plan on making this tonight!! Thanks!!

  • hey i have a fry daddy to

  • Something you might add: if you par boil the fries before you fry them, they'll be fluffy inside and crispy outside.

I notice you use Tony's in one video, Annies's bbq in another, have you considered truly home made? Both Tony's and Annie's are easy to make up yourself and for considerably less.

  • @bluediemond Thanks for the tip on par boiling! And yes, we sometimes mix our own seasonings and BBQ sauce. Thanks for watching and for you tips!

  • From 4:17 onward: WATCH OUT FOR KATRINA!!! LOL, JKJK. I might try that later on when I get the chance. Some questions. What kind of oil is best (in your opinion)? How hot should the temperature be? Can we use any fryer or does it have to be the Fry Daddy? Please let me know next time you get the chance. My apologies for any rudeness.

  • From 4:17 onward: WATCH OUT FOR KATRINA!!! LOL, JKJK

  • hi there. how hot does the fryer need to be?

  • OMG ITS SO TASTY!!!!!

  • great video, make some more cooking videos:)

  • Thanks Lady! :D I'm gonna make some now.

  • Thanks for the lesson!

  • My Aunt has the same Fryer!!!!

    ;D

  • Yes - we've had this one for awhile. handy because it gets to the right temperature for frying without the need of a thermometer.

  • haha i have the same one also

  • How long should you leave the oil in the fry daddy before you put the fries in?

  • Good question. I have never timed it. However, I do test the oil by placing a small piece of potato in the oil. If it boils up and floats, its ready. My husband sprinkles water, but I highly do not recommend this method. Thanks for watching! --beryl

  • YAY!!!! LSU!!!!

  • Beryl, Darling, you are too damn cute!!!

  • Get lost loser!!!

  • what part of louisiana u from? :)

  • First - sorry this has taken me so long to respond. We are from Baton Rouge, LA. Been here most of my life. Thanks for watching. --beryl

  • i love potatoes :D

  • Me too! Thanks for watching!

  • awesome :)

  • Thank you! And thanks for watching!

  • Do you guys use fresh oil Everytime you cook?!

  • NO, not everytime. We do change the oil if we have fried something breaded, like fish or shrimp, because the breading really messes up the oil. We will use the oil several times if we're just making french fries, and the last thing we made was french fries.

  • omg cajun buddy HIGH FIVE!

  • Hi 5!

  • cool wheres the stove?

i only see the pot of oil

  • We fry in an appliance called a "Fry Daddy". It's an electric frying pot. All you do is fry stuff in it. Thanks for watching our videos.

  • I live in the UK and probably going to LSU for an exchange year! I can't wait to try all this Southern food.

I still can't decide between Wilmington NC, Uni South Carolina, LSU or Southern Miss! But you are definitely making me more excited for LSU! Thanks for making them!

  • Thanks for writing. I hope you have a great time while you're here in the US. If you're really in to eating great food, Louisiana is known for it's focus on food and eating. Thanks for watching our videos.

  • it's great... i actually love the idea of the way you make them. thanks

  • Thank you so much. And thanks for watching our videos!

  • Very good idea, thanks. And thanks for watching our videos!

  • no offence but its pretty disgusting that you dont peel the skin off the potatoes, you dont know who touched them and where they come from before they reach your home.maybe someone touched there ass and touched your potatoes during transportations.

  • she SCRUBBED them so they're clean!!

  • scrubbing is not peeling them off

    they are still "dirty"

  • You sound like me! Thanks for watching our videos!

  • if they cant fit in the gadger chop them in half

  • Good idea, thanks. And thanks for watching our videos!

  • mmm mmmm I'm gonna make some right now, got the burgers seasoned and ready to go too... good video!

  • We had some with lunch today. Thanks for watching our videos!

  • U DANCE, WOW

  • so you could also just fry them in a pan with oil on a stove right?

  • Yes, for sure. In fact, we did just that on our Shrimp Po-Boy and Catfish Po-Boy videos.

    Thanks for watching!
