Enough with these 'black atheist' stories. Okay, so African-Americans are largely a religious demographic, but that is them - You're an atheist. Be above this racial categorical bullshit.
Race is irrelevant as to why you've denied religion, correct? So, exactly why do you make this a racial matter?
You cannot "act black (or white). Black is a colour, not a persona.
Why would you support stereotypes used to condemn your race?
The world is being run by Luciferians who call their agenda the New World Order. One of their main goals (to be carried out through the occult) has been to destroy religion, lead people to deny the existence of God, & create a new society that is totally secular. It's sad to see so many people falling for their scam as they con the masses.
Research the New World Order and the Illuminati via Google & YouTube. Also, watch an online series called "The Arrivals" and "The Arrivals Reloaded."
The point about people's *cultural* attachment to church is an important one, and the associated question is legit: Should an African American (AA) still participate--help to perpetuate church doctrines, solidify others' belief, and what not--when *s/he* doesn't believe? Is that moral?
Important to note, though, that even (most) *believers* don't obey what they profess to believe! Case in point: 70+% of AA babies are born to unwed parents; but Christianity forbids any sex outside of marriage.
And, as others commented, please do not use the phrase "act white". If you're going to use that phrase you need to clearly define what you mean by it. In doing so you may discover a change of heart in the way you look at others of your own race and how they choose to think as free individuals, regardless of their race. It will be nice when the day comes when we regard ourselves as Americans first and African-Americans, Irish-Americans, Asian-Americans,… second.
The conversion to Christianity was the common bond that pulled African slaves from different parts of Africa together as a community as slaves in America and gave them the hope and strength to survive. This is still manifested in black churches today. White Americans did not have this reliance on religion for survival and have been able to more easily open their minds to alternatives to religion without being bound by their cultural expectations (at least in comparison to African Americans).
Ughh UTube & their 500 char limit… (I'll do this in 3 parts) I am an atheist white man who was married to a black Christian woman (divorced after 13 years) with a black step-daughter and a bi-racial daughter. I agree that black Americans are more religious than white Americans, but you can look to history for the cause of this. The slaves from Africa had their own tribal religions but quickly converted to their master's religion out of a sense of self-preservation.
It's interesting to see this journey. I hope you came away with a better understanding of how the actual act of faith is not race based but any religious activities will certainly tie in with what their friends and family do together. I'm an ex-Muslim but I have not told my family because it is a rather serious issue and would open up a can of worms that I know they won't handle well. Still, I attend funerals and weddings and go through the motions so I can remain close to the people I love.
Wow. I can't imagine saying anything slightly controversal or as my College essay teachers would say "colloquial" here on youtube. Sorry about the knee jerk reactions you've gotten about the "act white" comment. Have you guys got anything constructive to say?? Apparently NOT! I for one enjoyed your video blog. Where I can I see what you've written? I know I'm replying to this video a year late. LOL.
You're stereotyping your own race, that is extremely pathetic. Do you know who brainwashed your black ass and your black ancestors?? White slave owners girl...People from Africa practice voodoo--THE OLDEST RELIGION IN THE WORLD. Christianity and Islam has created serious religious conflict in africa now. Christianity is a white doctrine..."Lord knows I'm a voodoo child"-Jimi Hendrix
No, I just think ur a dumbass and I dislike people like you--ignorant. Why dont you check with your girl Kris Swilley, according to her atheism is a white thing, maybe she dislikes white people because of that. I on the other hand was just trying to school her on some facts. You come straight out of fucking dodge asking if I dislike white people. I have a question for you, are you fuckin retarded or are you like 10 years old? Ya know what, just fuck off and dont respond please
Man. People shut the fuck up. So she said, "act white". So what. You get her point. Yeah. Maybe she didn't say it the way you wanted her to say it, but it gets the point across. She's basically saying, act like the stereotypical white person. Everyone knows its a stereotype. At this point, it goes without saying. And you have to understand, some people grew up in stereotypical type environments. So from their perspective, there is nothing wrong with the comment. Stop bitching.
@AK33M but what she doesnt understand is saying "acting white" is contradictory to being an atheist. By that i mean atheism is about persuing knowledge, reason, and truth no matter what race you are. She is looking at the way a person "acts" and putting too much weight on that aspect she should care more that this person shares the same ideas as her. An atheist believes we all come from the same place an have the same genetic makeup her mind is still clouded with colorstruck nonsense.
Oh guys you are really poor black and withe talking in islam there is no race that matters. we are all united under . No God then God and Muhammed is his Messanger.. of curse you dont belive in the god concept that church is giveing you . God is no Man with a long withe beard. he is allahu akbar bigger then every thing. and here you in this video it will show you how sinceless it is to splitt us in black withe and so on. Like Cesar splitt and rule. Cuz we are to bissy fighting each other.
"Act white?" . . Sooo Not committing crime, listening to ANY music, thinking before speaking, reading books without pictures, speaking clearly, being polite, wearing pants that cover their arse this is "acting white?". . . These are STEREOTYPES! They are for making fun of ignorant people. Whites in poor, desperate, situations are as susceptible to crime as any ethnicity. Educated well off people tend to do the right thing and if that fits your stereotype of white people then be boring ACT WHITE!
WHAT IS YOUR POINT? YOU ALREADY DECLARED YOURSELF A RELIGIOUS ZOMBIE, BY STATING THAT YOU DON’T KNOW WHY YOUR A CHRISTIAN. SO HOW IS IT THAT YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY ABOUT ATHEISM? LET ALONE, A SUB-SECT OF ATHEISM…SMH. YOUR “BOOK” IS GONNA GO TRIPLE WOOD.
@mridenine Right... "the labels you've assigned yourself". Because these labels all exist in the individual's mind only as islands and have no impact upon other people, right? You simply have no idea what culture is.
Hey "Kris10Swilley", I know Exactly what you mean by "acting white" and thanks for being "straight foreward". I'm a black atheist of about 35 years, (I'm 54), live in Philly. There is something seriously wrong with an "atheist that goes to church and sings in the choir". I still tap my toes and want to dance when I hear gospel MUSIC because of the MUSIC not the b.s. message but fuck going to church and I can barely enjoy 2 sec's of gospel because the don't shut up while the music is playing.
You know, you're quite good looking. But you would be ten times hotter if you actually engaged your brain in some critical thought about why you feel the need to live by the labels you've assigned yourself. Don't patronise your readership by worrying if they can relate to people who "act white"; actively challenge their prejudices by presenting those atheist black people as black, without even acknowledging the artifice you and they live by of a homogenous, unchanging "black culture".
@Alineniz it is stupid to act like you don't know what she meant and moreover get "offended by it" I mean I how is that ?? I'm an African... BORN in Africa and some of my African friends "act black american" That is the reality and if you wanna "act like" you don't get it then so be it... I enjoy her video by the way and we should be focus on the msg in the video.
@Blackjuicez: I am also African and BORN in Africa. I understand what you mean. My comment is about the fact that we need to use sophisticated descriptions, especially if we are putting this in an academic context (as this young lady in the video is). Newsflash: there are not many things in the world that are just black or white. Define "acting black", or "acting white". Which whites/blacks? What socioeconomic background? What age? From which part of the country/continent?
@angelawright70 gods an active volcano misinterpret by moses as god also hullucinating gases helped. if you still doubt i'll be glad to destroy your faith to pieces. utube: ' calpurnius pisos of rome' real arthur of nt lol btw theres been a $1,416.19 for over 30 yrs to prove the historian wrong haha no wonder theres no proof of jesus. just vague accounts written 200 yrs after the death of jesus that failed why cuz its fairy tale.
@angelawright70 well you are also gambling with your afterlife, if there is one. you think atheists are gambling, but so are you, what if the Hindus are right and instead of Hindu gods you wasted all your life praying to the false god?
or what if Budhists are right? how is your Karma doing? do you even know how to get possitive karma?
why are they turning away? Black culture? The more black americans what to be "American" more than African, the more they will follow what white folks in the media do. That's why you think the act white. They are following what white folks do cuz they feel they are just being American.
why don't you do a YouTube interview with a black atheist. FYI, some people go to church just for the sense of community and fellowship, not religious meanings.
Interesting...It sounds like you are saying that you need to find black atheists that "identify with black culture" so that readers can relate to them. You specify that religion is an important part of black culture. Then, when you find a black atheist who continues to participate in the culture of religion as practiced by black people, you question whether this is ethical and frame it as manipulative and unfair to believers. Wow, black atheists can't win for losing, right? That's fair, is it?
The Alied Atheist Alliance?, I think it is the logical name choice, it does have three A's but here is a suggestion that has five A's making it even more logical. African American Allied Atheist Alliance, What will be your approach for converting people to your new Religion?
It's mostly about survival. The atheist that are there are either trying to learn some skill/experience, or are trying to simply form bonds with other people. Morals don't really play into this at all.
It is indeed challenging to find blacks who don't 'act white' as you say. Why is this? Because blacks don't accept atheists, no matter what color they are, so it comes with the territory. Might I add, finding a hoodrat or a dope boy who is atheist won't make your writing any more authentic than it would if your focus was mainly on speaking with black atheists. I hope your piece turned out the way you wanted it, and I hope your position be it faith or faithless is more solid now.
"I wouldn't lead an Atheist meeting...I wouldn't lead another religious service..." I would not trust you to lead much of anything. From your video, it seems that you are close-minded and bigoted.
Reddit brought me here. Using the same argument you could say that MLK, or Malcolm X did not represent African Americans because of their profound eloquence. "Acting White".. Are you serious?.. Well, maybe you are right.. Lets just go to church and worship deities inherited through historic trauma :)
As a white person myself, you can't "act white". White is a colour, not a persona; Black is a colour, not a persona. If you know that it is ignorant to suggest such rubbish, then why do you still say it? It makes no sense that someone who speaks correct standard English is believed to be acting white. Nonsense.
@Alineniz You're talking about something said by someone who attends a "historically black college or university". What did you expect, intelligent dialogue devoted to an understanding of what "act white" is?
I'm black too, and I think the HBCU is going the way of the dinosaur.
You mean the black atheists that you're finding are "more educated" than the ignorant African-Americans who just read the bible by rote without questioning it.
Are you slow of course religion is a way of life. Have you ever picked up a book before? Black is a skin tone not a way you live your life. throughout history religion has been a way to control the masses. When I use the word control its reffering to the way Moses had manage the peace when he led the slavs out of egypt. It's the same way a parent shows they're the law in the home, by having rules and punishments for wrong actions you can maintain the balance in the home.
@PSYCRIN This story never happened, there is no single shred of archeological evidence for this. It's a myth to give a group of people a historical and divine claim on a peace of land in the middle east.
When you say "limit us as people" you mean black right? Every time you say white you look like you're going to be sick. You have some racism going there sister.
How very Christian acting of her to attribute a physical characteristic such as dark skin and coarse hair with a music and way of speaking ect
I bet she doesnt believe Obama would make a good representation of a Black president i mean he hangs out with white folk and speaks like an educated person or as she puts it acts "white"
Seeing he is a professor with an atheist mother he is most likely a closet atheist himself.
Atheism is just another silly mystical religion... The belief in a disbelieving of something.... how stupid... What evidence is there that shows the universe is blind and unintelligent and useless? There is none... Atheism is just another religion promoting consensus skepticism... ew.
@Alkhemist10 There is a MOUNTAIN of evidence indicating that there is no God. On the other hand, there is NO evidence that God exists. You simply cannot equate theism with atheism. One relies on logic and the other on blind faith.
@mjohanss1975 What evidence is there that shows the universe to be blind, random, unintelligent and unconscious? THERE IS NONE. The universe simply cannot produce what it does not contain. It is illogical to assume consciousness and sense could ever produce anything other than brute senseless forms... Also all matter is PASSIVE, (the law of inertia negation) so what is the FORCE that puts PASSIVE matter in MOTION?
@mjohanss1975 What evidence is there that shows the universe to be blind, random, unintelligent and unconscious? THERE IS NONE. The universe simply cannot produce what it does not contain. Also all matter is PASSIVE, (the law of inertia negation) so what is the FORCE that puts PASSIVE matter in MOTION?
@mjohanss1975 furthermore, arguing that a god exists is like arguing colors with a colorblind person. I am colorblind, and I will tell you what colors I see. though, I understand that everyone sees them differently, I see what I see. our brains arent perfect machines, of course people will think they see/feel a presence of a mythological being of all sorts.
@Sc0ttPrian No it's not the same, you can make the frequency that constitute different color visible by other means, there is nothing that you or anyone else can do to prove the mythical figure your specific religion is build around
@Alkhemist10 Religion (emulation of adults by children) encysts past mythologies: guesses, hidden assumptions of trust in the universe, pronouncements made in search of personal power, all mingled with shreds of enlightenment. And always an unspoken commandment: Thou shall not question! We break that commandment daily in the harnessing of human imagination to our deepest creativity.
you made a lot of sense until you said "white music" and the white culture dribble. What's wrong with skateboarding? there is no race written on rock music, or dance music, or jazz, etc.... Leave that part out of the video, it's sound ignorant....not something a smart consious athiest should say.
Sista, you need to come home to Islam, quickly! Islam is the only exceptable religion to God. I'll leave it there. (If you want to know what I mean... enquire me.
@strangestdude Those youtube channels are not "proofs" of the reality or falsehood of Islam. Why not get a Quran and read it -- STUDY it -- yourself. Isn't that more prudent thing? I was raised Baptist, but after intensive study (19 years), converted to Islam this year. I checked into everything; infact, I first studied what the contemporay orientalist and enemies of the Prophet (PBUH and Islam said of him in his day, and learned what they wrote/said to be false. JUST READ THE QURAN. IT's FREE!
@Legend1One I'm an apostate from Islam, and like you I came from a Christian background. The transition from Christianity to Islam is a common one because many of the tenets are similar. I hope you watch all the videos on those channels I also recommend the deconversion series by evd3nc3, and there are no gods series and religion the bad parent by theramintrees, I can guarantee that if you spend time watching those 4 channels you'll be forced to ask yourself some challenging questions.
@strangestdude I went to "therationalizer's" channel, and as expected, he's a light weight Atheist who is extremely arguementative, and his constant interjecting made for a bad viewing experience. You should check for more heavy weight Atheist vs Muslim/Christian debates. Look up Shabir Ali or Turek. Hitchens is argueably the leading Atheist in the World, check out his debate with Turek. There are many other heavy weight, you just have to look for them.
@Legend1One Did you watch the therationalizer's videos where he debunks the claims that the Quran contains scientific miracles? If you PM me your email address I'll send you a letter I wrote concisely explaining why I left Islam and why I Islam is false, also check out my channel. Some of the shared tenets; Theism, holy book, judgement day, heaven, hell, prophets, etc. I used to be a muslim, you and I both know how they differ.
@strangestdude Yes, I checked it out and there is nothing new on his channel; asforemention, he (the theratinalizer) is a LIGHT WEIGHT Atheist, and that's apparent in the way he was frames his arguements.
If you wrote concisely explaining why you left Islam, "concisely" tell me here. I'm remain unconvinced of you ever being a Muslim... a Christian probably... but not a Muslim. It's been my experience that very few people who come into Islam via knowlege, in later years, revert or denied it.
@Legend1One I think therationalizers video of the flat earth in the Quran is a very strong argument against the 'scientific miracles' found in the Quran. Have you seen my channel? I really don't know why psychologically so many muslims can't accept that the fact that people apostate from Islam. I can PM you the letter if you like? Or I can PM you a dozen of the strongest vids on youtube that I believe challenge tenets of Islam? Or both.
@strangestdude Your grasping at staws. No where in the Quran does it say that the Earth is flat. Quranic Arabic (Farsi) is a dynamic language with layered meaning and interpretations, dependant upon one capacity. Much of the meaning is lost in translation. Therefore, a simple translation for the verse could be: 1) It could be translated spread out like a carpet 2) it is layed layed out, or 3) it is egg shaped (more specifically: shaped like an ostrich egg, not a chicken egg. View image of it).
@strangestdude Furthermore, you said, "The transition from Christianity to Islam is a common one because many of the tenets are similar." Question: What tenets in Christianity and Islam are similar and it what ways do they differ? And a follow up the question, how do the Theologies differ between Christianity and Islam. But, don't forget my first question (what compelled you to leave Islam?)
@strangestdude In your initial, you said -- and I quote... "The transition from Christianity to Islam is a common one because many of the tenets are similar."
Question: can you kindly explain to me the tenets in Christianity and Islam which are similar, and also tenets which are different? And as a follow up question, how do the Theologies differ between Christianity and Islam.

I just subscribed to you but because of the verbal diarrhea you spewed at 2:05 I'm unsubscribing. That was very disappointing!
You look like a smart girl and you're well spoken, but you have an inferiority complex that is very prevalent in the African American community that infers that if a Black person appreciates other genre of music other than Hip Hop or speak proper English, then they're not "Black" enough.
I'm a Black, Agnostic Atheist who speaks proper English and loathes Hip Hop.
SO HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT AGNOSTICS? DO THEY FACTOR INTO THE EQUATION? DID YOU SAY BLACK ATHEISTS ACT WHITE? WOW, THAT’S IGNORANT. WHAT COLLEGE EDUCATED PERSON SAYS SOMEONE IS “ACTING WHITE” SO TELL ME, WHAT IS ACTING BLACK? I AGREE WITH YOU WHEN YOU SAID YOU NEED TO LEARN MORE…NOT A DISS.
I would suggest that you would find a black atheist 'acting white' because they tend to be people who don't want to be defined by other people. So they may skateboard and rap and like Frasier. They don't see the lines. So I see what you mean about finding black(culturally) atheists that aren't white, but I think you will find them to be more individualistic. Thanks for the blog
well u have found a black atheist that doesnt act white...me. yea there r a lot of black atheist all over the place and i have never meet one that acts white. im from the south side of chicago, i dont have any white friends, but im not real "hood" either. so glad to meet u
I have a problem with you saying black atheists act white. Black atheists act like people who have chosen to think for themselves. More often then not that means better educated, less confined by social and cultural confines. Its the same with any race.
@suffocated getting in a group, we can change the world, bro. Spreading knowledge is the only way to get an idea or lack of one, out into the public sphere.I should tell you to not spread your beliefs and get in a group, like don't go to church.Don't join a group that wants to get things done.Don't tell your children about your religion, don't tell your family if you believe in something (like Jesus), because "you need to make your own conclusions". Notice how atheists don't have a dogmatic book
@suffocated If you people made your own decisions without your book, or without going to church, you'd be different people. Probably atheists. Probably believing in all sorts of weird things, or maybe you'd be more rational, as most people who are Christians have been converted when little children. The same goes for every other religion. To think yourself and to get into groups that feel the same way is the way ideas spread, the way that better ideas overtake worser ideas.
black athiests who identify with black culture are out there. keep looking, don't give up. i'm agnostic about the topic but "conscious" about our culture.
Also, it is one of the few religions that doesn't order you to kill innocent people for any reason whatsoever (like som religions order the murder of gay people).
There are no rules or laws you must follow. No God you must obey. No scripture you must study. No miracles you must believe. No souls that will be damned or saved. No eternal afterlife. Nothing, nothing, nothing.
@thepoet82 Atheism is a lack of belief, no more, no less. I have nothing against other religions....i just wanna be able to eat pork and have sex with white women! WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT?!
@Lytewave5000 Yes, atheism is a religion. And, not collecting stamps is a hobby, having the tv off is a channel, and Islam is a religion of peace. Atheism is NOT a religion. There is no doctrine, and it is a lack of belief
I use the term "non believer" -- Atheist is a term that evokes images of an angry teenager calling everybody "stupid, delusional, weak-minded, ignorant, brain-damaged, mentally-ill, and proof that the education system in America is woefully inadequate" -- the name has developed a connotation.
"They act white, ..., and go skateboarding " You mean they are educated and well spoken, and exposed to a broad worldview? In the first place what are you looking for? sagging pants acting stupid, ebonics and godless? Doubt you will find that. Atheism requires some level of knowledge and confidence to be able to think critically and independently. Sagging pants folks are doing what everyone else around them does, so unlikely to be atheists
@ofosusam I'm educated, articulate, sag my pants, to an extent, act "stupid," under certain conditions (there is a time and place for everything) speak slang, and, I am an atheist. I also rap, and hang out with some less than reputable characters (thugs, drug dealers) yet I major in cognitive neuroscience. Saying that people who sag their pants aren't able to think critically, or independently is incredibly fallacious, and ironically, displays lack of critical and independent thinking skills
@C00lblkatheist sagging pants is a symptom of a wider dysfunctional sub culture in America. Black Amrica to be precise. It comes with a package and that package is ignorance, jail time, lack of social progression among others. and before you use the r-word, yes i am black, look me up. And yes, I am atheist, so sorry, i have to go by the evidence, not the emotions and sentiments.
@ofosusam Ummmmm causation isn't correlation. I know a lot of people who sag their pants, and never committed a crime, and I know a ton of people who don't sag their pants and are ignorant, have been in jail and posses a lack of social progress towards other people. You are being ignorant, stop that
@ofosusam There is a serious lack of evidence for the existence of any gods or gods. There is a even more extreme lack of evidence for the existence one god who cares for what you do that the Christians and Muslims worship. Why is it so shocking for a Black person to be an atheist? ATHEIST= A person whom rejects the claim for the existence for the existence of any god or gods. Atheism is not a claim, it is the rejection of a claim. The burden of proof is on the one making the claim. The theist.
wait, what?

@Blackjuicez: I am also African and BORN in Africa. I understand what you mean. why don't you do a YouTube interview with a black atheist. FYI, some people go to church just for the sense of community and fellowship, not religious meanings.
FloridaRaider 3 months ago
Interesting...It sounds like you are saying that you need to find black atheists that "identify with black culture" so that readers can relate to them. You specify that religion is an important part of black culture. Then, when you find a black atheist who continues to participate in the culture of religion as practiced by black people, you question whether this is ethical and frame it as manipulative and unfair to believers. Wow, black atheists can't win for losing, right? That's fair, is it?

OpenInsanity 3 months ago
It is indeed challenging to find blacks who don't 'act white' as you say. Why is this? Because blacks don't accept atheists, no matter what color they are, so it comes with the territory. Might I add, finding a hoodrat or a dope boy who is atheist won't make your writing any more authentic than it would if your focus was mainly on speaking with black atheists. I hope your piece turned out the way you wanted it, and I hope your position be it faith or faithless is more solid now.

Sc0ttPrian 4 months ago
@Sc0ttPrian No it's not the same, you can make the frequency that constitute different color visible by other means, there is nothing that you or anyone else can do to prove the mythical figure your specific religion is build around
annata12 3 months ago
@annata12 thats going scientific with colors, science already gets rid of any mythology :P
Sc0ttPrian 3 months ago
@Alkhemist10 Religion (emulation of adults by children) encysts past mythologies: guesses, hidden assumptions of trust in the universe, pronouncements made in search of personal power, all mingled with shreds of enlightenment. And always an unspoken commandment: Thou shall not question! We break that commandment daily in the harnessing of human imagination to our deepest creativity.

@Legend1One Islam is false.. check out youtube channels therationalizer and CEMBadmins for proof.
strangestdude 5 months ago
@strangestdude Those youtube channels are not "proofs" of the reality or falsehood of Islam. Why not get a Quran and read it -- STUDY it -- yourself. Isn't that more prudent thing? I was raised Baptist, but after intensive study (19 years), converted to Islam this year. I checked into everything; infact, I first studied what the contemporay orientalist and enemies of the Prophet (PBUH and Islam said of him in his day, and learned what they wrote/said to be false. JUST READ THE QURAN. IT's FREE!
Legend1One 5 months ago
@Legend1One I'm an apostate from Islam, and like you I came from a Christian background. The transition from Christianity to Islam is a common one because many of the tenets are similar. I hope you watch all the videos on those channels I also recommend the deconversion series by evd3nc3, and there are no gods series and religion the bad parent by theramintrees, I can guarantee that if you spend time watching those 4 channels you'll be forced to ask yourself some challenging questions.
strangestdude 5 months ago
@strangestdude I went to "therationalizer's" channel, and as expected, he's a light weight Atheist who is extremely arguementative, and his constant interjecting made for a bad viewing experience. You should check for more heavy weight Atheist vs Muslim/Christian debates. Look up Shabir Ali or Turek. Hitchens is argueably the leading Atheist in the World, check out his debate with Turek. There are many other heavy weight, you just have to look for them.
? What made you lose faith in Islam?...
Legend1One 5 months ago
@Legend1One Did you watch the therationalizer's videos where he debunks the claims that the Quran contains scientific miracles? If you PM me your email address I'll send you a letter I wrote concisely explaining why I left Islam and why I Islam is false, also check out my channel. Some of the shared tenets; Theism, holy book, judgement day, heaven, hell, prophets, etc. I used to be a muslim, you and I both know how they differ.
strangestdude 5 months ago
@strangestdude Yes, I checked it out and there is nothing new on his channel; asforemention, he (the theratinalizer) is a LIGHT WEIGHT Atheist, and that's apparent in the way he was frames his arguements.
If you wrote concisely explaining why you left Islam, "concisely" tell me here. I'm remain unconvinced of you ever being a Muslim... a Christian probably... but not a Muslim. It's been my experience that very few people who come into Islam via knowlege, in later years, revert or denied it.
Legend1One 5 months ago
@Legend1One I think therationalizers video of the flat earth in the Quran is a very strong argument against the 'scientific miracles' found in the Quran. Have you seen my channel? I really don't know why psychologically so many muslims can't accept that the fact that people apostate from Islam. I can PM you the letter if you like? Or I can PM you a dozen of the strongest vids on youtube that I believe challenge tenets of Islam? Or both.
strangestdude 5 months ago
@strangestdude Your grasping at staws. No where in the Quran does it say that the Earth is flat. Quranic Arabic (Farsi) is a dynamic language with layered meaning and interpretations, dependant upon one capacity. Much of the meaning is lost in translation. Therefore, a simple translation for the verse could be: 1) It could be translated spread out like a carpet 2) it is layed layed out, or 3) it is egg shaped (more specifically: shaped like an ostrich egg, not a chicken egg. View image of it).

iliveon 6 months ago
@iliveon what's wrong with being alone, its your own belief, it's not stronger if more than you believe in it, you need to make your own conclusions
suffocated 6 months ago
@suffocated getting in a group, we can change the world, bro. Spreading knowledge is the only way to get an idea or lack of one, out into the public sphere.I should tell you to not spread your beliefs and get in a group, like don't go to church.Don't join a group that wants to get things done.Don't tell your children about your religion, don't tell your family if you believe in something (like Jesus), because "you need to make your own conclusions". Notice how atheists don't have a dogmatic book
iliveon 6 months ago
@suffocated If you people made your own decisions without your book, or without going to church, you'd be different people. Probably atheists. Probably believing in all sorts of weird things, or maybe you'd be more rational, as most people who are Christians have been converted when little children. The same goes for every other religion. To think yourself and to get into groups that feel the same way is the way ideas spread, the way that better ideas overtake worser ideas.

The theist.
