Hmm.. Maybe you don't find the similarities because U know this singer better than just a lady who represented France. It is so common that singers who go to ESC won't sing the style they usually do. Or maybe you just haven't listened much of Celines discography..

I agree that doing an impression of whatever great singer isn't the best idea. But i also believe that this nice French singer didn't have such purpose. After all, there R many singers who sound very similarly.
