Got this pack 2 years ago and its really worth the money, and I think they dont make Bullet 150's anymore. Its really a complete beginner amp with everything you need, and the guitar is amazing it'll stay actually in tune and has great sound compared to other cheap guitars

@TheRAMA1295 yeah. usually the sticker is on the plastic layer to protect the pickguard while it's in the factory/stores. So when you just peel that off the blue sticker should come with it.

@deadcorpse12 If your strings are closer to the neck (known as having a 'low Action'), it is easier to play, as you dont have to press down as hard.

If your strings are further from the neck (known as having a 'high Action'), it is easier to bend strings, as you can get a better grip on them.

Hell, I'd rather have that little practice amp than the guitar. The neck is clunky as hell. Rarely does anyone set up the truss rod and intonation at Guitar Center or wherever. Don't get me wrong...it's a great starter guitar. But cruise around some pawn shops and see what you can find. How do you think it's such a bargain? They are making some money on this...cheap-ass tuners, pickups, and pots. If you are just starting out...fine get it. Easy! But you can find some great used guitars too.

That is a really nice sounding little combo. Nothing sounded "cheap" or ratty. Both the clean and distortion were very good. Would have liked to have heard more examples of pickup combinations. Amazing value for the money.

@p0rsch997 you can find the guitar by itself really cheap, but if you dont have an amp right now get the package, also, if youre going to change out the pickups, take a weekend and learn how to solder and do it yourself, it will save you about 100 bucks

@MercuryMerk i know eds sig model is made of basswood howvever it has a maple top which really adds to the tone the basswood makes the guitar much lighter and more managable. in the case of alder vs. just basswood in a squire alders gonna give a better tone. Baswood is generally used in low cost models because its affordable.

@moonbeam182 basswood is a very light wood and is used in cheaper guitars Alder is slightly heavier and is used in Fender (not only Squire) guitars. I'd say the alder would give you a better fuller tone but thats just my opinion. The basswood strats are good with new strings and are pretty playable . If you have the money I would suggest the standard because it will have better features, will stayed tuned better, and the quality as a whole will last you longer.

squier strats are dirt if ur a beginner or a guitarist lookin for a new guitar DONT buy one they are awful i had one and i hated it trust me startin out u wanta buy the most expensive guitar within ur budget most people buy a squier because its a fender but a really good guitar for beginners to pros is epiphone this brand of guitar is an exact copy of any gibson guitar made by gibson themselves you can get les pauls, sgs, 335s and anyother gibson model that catches ur eye

Epi's are also a lot more expensive. A G-400 goes for 400 bucks, replacing the pickups when you get good is another 100 or more. A squier standard strat is about 200, solid agathis body (like a cheaper mahogany, tone-wise), 1 piece maple neck, well dressed frets, decent hardware, substantial but not "fat" neck, and a good set of GFS pickups later on with some new saddles and a graphite nut (all things a G400 needs too) you have a player's strat. Just AVOID the Affinity series and "bullet".

I bought that "package" and to my opinion it is great for beginner but after 3 or 4 months of playing you should buy a better geuitar because it sounds NOT CLEAR its chrunchy all the time .

For home practicing the amp is very usefull but it only sounds godd when it is turned on pretty loud! So if other people are in the house it bad to play. also the headphone mode sounds like hell, it tounrs the sound in a annoying mega chrunchy sound !.

@vanflinthove i dont think this would be good for an advanced player, for a beginner yea, but i did the opposite and played acoustic for 6 months. its a good price but when you get better you need to get a better guitar, such as fender, gibson, ibanez, LTD, (depends on what genre of music you like also and if you like the sound of the guitar) hope that helped

the fender sp10 (not the squier like this one only difference is that the one im talking about doesnt have a logo) is probably the WORST amp I've ever had. I had it for maybe a month and the speakers blew up. it couldn't handle a Gibson Les Paul being hooked to it, idk. But this one actually sounds better than the one i had, it even has more effects and it actually has EQ settings. MINE DIDN'T! at least i got a rogue amp now and it sounds dead up like a marshall im still investing for a marshall

But the only 2 i've played were epi special packs and the squier strat packs, and they didnt sound good at all. my best suggestion is to save up for a better guitar. (thats what i did). but if you're just starting out playing, you might wanna start out acoustic (did that too) it really helped with chords

the squier guitars are great for beginners or slightly more advanced players. theres no reason you cant continue to use a squier through your playing days as they are generally good guitars but most guitarists would recommend you bump to fender when you get good enough, but i say if you like it you like it!

As someone said, if you don't use the whammy bar like you were trying to kill the guitar it will stay in tune surprisingly well. My friend had a cheaper version of this pack, which I don't recommend, and it wouldn't even stay in tune while you were trying to tune it (hmm).

But this is a very valuable pack, in which you will get everything you need to start rockin!

I think so. Very good deal if you're a beginner and want to start playing with decent sound without spending $1000. I replaced the amp after 1 year with a Peavey Bandit (also very valuable and highly recommended), but the Bullet works well and has some interesting FX built-in.
