I honestly don't thing Whitney's current vocal is quite up to the MLIYL level just yet. It's definately clearer here than back then. Expect a MODEST comeback from what I've heard. That means, probably a Top 10 hit, a Grammy Nomination or two, maybe a #1 album for a week but not much more.

I totally agree with you. Her voice is not the best. She can never sing "I'll always love you" they way she used to. Whitney will always be able to sing but she will never hit those high notes again.

I hear that the Yamaha Motif XS7 is a better synthesizer than the Roland X7 as shown used in the Pre-Grammy performance. Breaking news: .David Foster just commented in a news article that Whitney is back, She just finished recording the Dianne Warren song called "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." I honestly don't thing Whitney's current vocal is quite up to the MLIYL level just yet. It's definately clearer here than back then. Expect a MODEST comeback from what I've heard. That means, probably a Top 10 hit, a Grammy Nomination or two, maybe a #1 album for a week but not much more.

I totally agree with you. Her voice is not the best. She can never sing "I'll always love you" they way she used to. Whitney will always be able to sing but she will never hit those high notes again.

Mz. Houston has a huge fan base and a lot of naysayers. Yes she has made mistakes, huge mistakes however, she deserves a second chance. If Whitney comes back fifty percent of what she used to be, ninety percent of our so called divas, singers and performers could not stand next to her. She is the last true DIVA! Most of todays entertainers fill the stage with scantily clad females and a lot of rump shaking and very little real singing. She has been missed.

She looks great, I was at the Gala to see her. It was great to see her so happy and healthy, But as an HONEST and REALISTIC fan her voice wasn't all that amazing. But improvement but not a big jump. Her past definitely affected her voice alot. But with rest, and care she will be fine.

I'd rather her look like this, a little more weight on her than a crack whore; she looks fantabalous as Eddie Murphy would say. She just needs to stay off of the drugs, alcohol, and stop smoking; she'll be o.k., but, she's pushing 50, and her Mother Cissy and Aunt Deion started to lose their voices at around that time, both of them were great singers but were not as successful as Whitney. Take this little window Whitney and run with it.

I've been trying to find a clear vid w/ audio of this Pre-Grammy '09 event where she sang a tribute to Clive Davis. So far I haven't been able to find it on You Tube, but word is she nailed it. These pics do seem to show Whitney back in full form. She's even put on a few much-needed pounds.

I hear that the Yamaha Motif XS7 is a better synthesizer than the Roland X7 as shown used in the Pre-Grammy performance. It,s been 5 yrs since her last album her christmas album in 2004 ,and just whitney in 2003 and her last tour was at the end of 2004 she has not had much rest but enough to finally come back!!! it sure feels like 10 yrs the music industry needs to get back to real music and whitney holds that!!

Breaking news: .David Foster just commented in a news article that Whitney is back, She just finished recording the Dianne Warren song called "I Didn't Know My Own Strength." He said that her work ethic was exactly the way it was when we did the song for The Bodyguard. She worked incredibly hard for two nights and we came up with something really good.

There was a posting on MSN a few weeks ago about that article. Diane Warren was quoted too, and she's excited. Unfortunately, some bitter, hard-hearted people left such nasty remarks about her past on that forum, but most of the comments were so complimentary toward Whitney. I read another article in which Monica said that Clive let her hear a demo of a song Whitney will record, and Monica was so moved she was left in tears. I know the new album will be fantastic.

hmm....yes we live in such a cold world but I guess thats the life of celebs because as squeaky clean as a few celebs images are like beyonce, neyo, rhianna etc they get bashed. at times it gets to me but then I think not everyone is going to love whitney even if her past wasn't what it was. "it is what it is".....I also heard that statement as quoted from monica. all I will say is, I am MORE than ready for this album and I will leave it as that LOL!!xD
