Give Roger Brown 4Crawler and Bud a visit and lift your engine and transmission 2-3".
2" will let you work on the engine easier, and let air flow through it better.
3" will give you max ground clearance and the lowest thing on your truck will be the frame.

i might be wrong on this one but i dont think they had a solid front axle in anything from 85+

@BluesmanFraser actually if im not mistaken, the last 4runner with a SFA is the 87. all the 4runners BEFORE the 88 had solid axles.
