I have never heard Michelle O say that she tries to be like Jackie O. I hate to say it, but most blacks get offended when you compare our fashion sense, education, etc. to that of a whte person, In doing so, you're saying that only whites can own the rights and the patent on fashion, education, success, etc. Michelle O is her own person. We all are. If you want to talk about copycats, go blog about all these young girls wearing leather, chains and rainbow colored wigs copying off Lady Ga Ga
I understand where you're coming from, but there is no reason that we can't note that our First Lady has a good sense of style and is an IVY league grad that is very capable...
I don't hate Michelle, she's not a terrible person and didn't do anything to annoy me, and it upsets me when tabloids make up cheap things to hurt women in a higher status. But I don't see where these Jacqueline Kennedy comparisons came from. She obviously has her own "style" and never wanted to be a Jackie. The media has no sense whatsoever. I'm not trying to be mean, and I understand you all like her, but the comparisons just puzzle me. So far, she hasn't dazzled me, but I respect her.
@aggiesspeakdatruth What are you responding too? Jackie O does have a lot on our new first lady. I have faith that Michelle will do something great, but no one will replace Jackie. In the mean time, what are you yelling at me about?
She never tried to be Jackie O, the media tagged her that, why try to be like someone else when you have your own identity and style. Also remember the Queen touched her first, and if the Queen didn't care who the hell are you to? Michelle Obama is a classy, educated strong black woman. Thank God we did not have to put up with the pill popping, charity stealing, drug addict Cindy McCain.
So you don't like Michelle Obama... well millions do so get over it.
Well said Vidann. Our First Lady is an Ivy-league educated woman with a humble background. She's not gonna have perfect etiquette all the time nor should she.
This video points out the fashion she wears, and she does pick out most of her outfits, contrary to what others might think.
Last point I wanna make. Mrs. Obama's approval ratings are at 80% meaning 4 out of every 5 Americans love their First Lady. Who wouldn't? She's the most genuine FLOTUS to grace the White House in decades..
nice montage for a women who has a lot of expectations to be perfect for the world...she is a beautiful lady, but a wonderful mind that I hope you can memorate as the time finds it appropriate...keep your eyes on the streets (urr, I mean the web).
people who compare this dumb cunt to Jackie Kennedy are clueless.

less focus on being a fashion icon
more focus on being a political activist
since it appears that the only thing first ladies can be in this country are fashion icons
