You guys are great. I panicked a little when my shelf came and I realized I hadn't got the instructions with it, but by watching this video I was able to put everything together with no problems.
I've had 3 of these book cases for a few years now, they have withstood a lot of use. I have the birchwood color and am now researching to get 3 more. The assembly on this video is more than helpful because what they said about that top shelf is in fact tricky. Since I opted to use wood glue for the wood-dowels, I can't fix the mistake but my top shelf on one of my bookcases is still to this day reversed.
These book cases are the best of all my collection of different bookcases. I recommend it.
Hi, I'm looking at buying a bookcase from IKEA, would this be the best for a carpeted area........because of the edge where the carpet is nailed down is raised a little higher that the remaining floor space, I won't need little wedges to keep it flashed to the floor?

Does it have to be secured to the wall? The super does not allow us to have any more holes on to the wall.
