as far as samples go i prefer to do the record thing only because mp3s now-a-days of older music is TOO CLEAN.. but try a site by the name of (the breaks) google it.. it only tells you what the sample was and who sampled it, NO AUDIO tho.. but its up to you to find the song!

MPC: drum machine / sounds can be put into it.

MPD: midi controller / no sounds can be put in it, you use it to control sounds that are already in your sofeware (fl studio / reason, etc..) and hardware (mpc "any series" fantom triton, etc..)

Well actually I just ordered my MPD yesterday and it shipped out today, so I havnt even started yet lol.

How many hours would you say you put in before you really got the hang of it??

lol i did like a hour and a half b4 i got it all, or at least what i wanted it to do.... but there is always something new to learn with it. and as far as tips go! i say watch my and others "how to" vids on youtube, and hit me up if u need something. i try to help as much as possible!

i got this after i sent the note to you. but i know a few ppl who have the same version as you. and they told me that they have to set their cpu clocks back to like 2006 for it to work lol ....but if you need real help let me know. as far as the "808" thing, i wouldnt use the kits from there and the lil' bit of 808 stuff they have is not worth adding to a beat. use them in another program to beef them up... (resample) and make you own kits out of those wack a** stock drums! lol thanks tho. -D'zy
