Great video! When i was on holiday in Nai Yang Oct 2010, from my room late at night i could hear planes taxing, holding short, and then takeoff. Loved to lay in the dark listening to it, every night! =) Anyway, i'm going back this winter, and i wonder, where is the best place to spot att HKT? This is filmed from the south side of the runway, yes? Did you ever have problems with airport security? I want to film from the beach =) Thanx for great video! Greetings from Sweden! =)
@JonteKrok - Thanks for the kind words. Yes, this was shot from the south side of the airport along the service road. We didn't have any trouble with security there (although it is possible that if we had stayed longer, we might have had trouble), but we DID have trouble when we shot from the beach. Too close to the fence and security will come. Enjoy!
Really nice video! first time I see phuket airport, can you film airplanes from the end of runway near the "be careful! the jet blast" sign? fences seems to be too high? isn't it? thxs!
@fabrice42160 - From my experience, if you hang out too close to the fence at the beach end of the runway, airport security will come along and shoo you away.

@aviation1995 - It is a domestic flight to BKK, about one hour, so the plane isn't carrying that heavy a load.

Hey! Great vid! Do you know if there is a road inbetween the airport runway at the eastern end and Thepkrassatri Rd? to go north towards Mai khao.
On google maps it looks like a dirt track but was wondering if its able to be used by the public?
