About 1997 ish i was living in Cornwall and John was running a learning course in London. I phoned him and over an hour or more we had a really great chat about life, the universe and everything in between and when it came down to brass tacks and he told me how much it would cost i was gutted cos i couldnt afford it.
His response was 'get yourself here and you can crash on my sofa and i will teach you for free'.
Brilliant guy with a huge heart and i still listen to the cds he gave me

Hi John, You taught my son Matt about 12 years ago. He's 24 now, Thanks to you music has been a great gift in his life. He played in a band for a while and can play just about anything he wants. You helped him find a way of expressing himself creatively and emotionally and that's a wonderful thing to have done for another human being. Thank you. You're also a great guy with a dubious taste in string vests, but then we did used to arrive pretty erly in the morning lol.

Great to see you again, John - it's been a long time since the Energy days! Just looked at some Ginger Baker footage and I suddenly realized that I hadn't seen him (or you) since 1980... Yikes! Keep on keepin' on - you look GOOD and sound GREAT.
