@yenerowna Actually, to hear an earlier example of spoken rap/hip hop with more of a contemporary swing to it, have a listen to "Everybody's Gonna Have A Wonderful Time Up There" by Sister Rosetta Tharpe. The year was 1946. There is a YouTube video of this...
