White teachers have been cheating for years to help white students past these standardized tests. They simply got copies of the tests and taught what was on them, that's all. Blacks teachers joined them in the cheating later. They ALL cheat!! We're kidding ourselves if we think they don't. One day, it will all come out in the light. God didn't make these children robots. Obama needs to stop this "Race to the Top" thing. It's resulted in more cheating than ever before.
RTTT promotes the inequitable distribution of resources. School libraries have been decimated and teacher librarians laid off nation wide since Obama took office. Sidwell Friends, Sasha and Melia's kids' school, has THREE libraries. Yeah right, he believes in resources for the poor alright, just less of them, and no qualified teacher librarians to teach research to less fortunate kids. LAUSD is replacing librarians with kiosks. Books and computers will walk out the door.
Go ahead make excuses why blacks can't get an education. Say it's because of not enough funding. We taxpayers throw more and more money at education every year and are our inner city blacks doing any better? NO I see new schools turn into shit holes over the course of just a few years in the cities. Vandalism, graffiti and intimidation of teachers is what goes on. So throw MORE money at the problem. Brilliant! The problem starts at home. Face the facts. No fathers in the community is the reason.
It's a lot more than no fathers in the community. Schools alone simply cannot solve the problems of the inner city.
But this is America, and presumably we believe that all men should have the same opportunities, or at least something in the generally realm of equal opportunity. What we have now is a society of haves and have nots, and if we ignore the problems as you suggest the situation will just get progressively worse over time until we can't ignore it, and by then it will cost even more $.
Furthermore "and presumably we believe that all men should have the same opportunities" is nothing more than projection on your behalf, illustrated by your use of passive language. No where in the Constitution does it validate the belief that all men should have "equal opportunities".
An excellent rebuttal to the "pay more get more" theory of education can be found in The Cartel documentary. A clip dealing specifically with this subject can be seen here: /watch?v=IqJdonOgPl4
Vandalism and graffiti is usually a form of expression for a lot of the students... I mean, if we're talking about just tags that's silly, but otherwise I don't see any correlation between street art and a broken educational system..
I am so sorry you think that. Check your history. Fathers have been missing from the black family since slavery. Missing fathers is not the problem. Our fear of God is gone and we do not have any value of life anymore. We allowed God to be taken out of our schools. So guess what now we have the problems that comes when we do not put him first. I challenge all of us to put God back in charge as He should be and there will deffinitely be a remarkable change.
Why would you want to adopt the religion of your oppressors?
If there was a God do you think He would allow people to be enslaved, beaten, tortured and killed? Well actually, YES!
The old testament sanctioned slavery. The bible expressly endorses human slavery. The slave owners of early America used the bible's approval of slavery as a reason to continue to rip black families apart and keep them enslaved. God is the problem not the answer.
If what you are suggesting had any merit whatsoever America would be ahead of all other OECD nations as a result of dollars spent on education. This is clearly not the case. Obviously there are other problems endemic within the system outside of the realm of cost.

President Obama says one thing to one group and one thing to another. It's all about votes when it comes to him. He's sooo wishy-washy.
