This is a really well put together piece, with a lot of heartbreaking pictures, thank-you. I must say that as much as I love the song Zombie, these are children-- scarred by war, perhaps--but not zombies. Children are still impressionable: they're mold-able, but they still question things. I think adults can become zombies once they stop seeking and questioning, but these are little kids forced into the wars around them, not adults making choices--and not the "zombies" Fela was singing about.

Of course, it was my interpretation of Fela's song however I was thrilled to see that the play Fela used Child Soldiers on a placard of things in the coffin scene and like to think someone saw my video and put it in the play as one of the "morally reprehensible" things to bury/protest.

After performing this song, a group of Nigerian soldiers burst into Fela's home, beat up all the occupants, arrested Fela, and killed his mother. There's no difference between child soldiers being used and exploited by adults and a state doing the killing using a legitimate army - both are morally reprehensible.
