  • 4:30 ?

  • btw its not a drum machine and not synth lines. go watch a live version if you're honestly that stupid.

  • Greatest opening line in a song. Ever.

  • I swear to God Radiohead got weirder and weirder after every album. 0_o

    I LOVE IT :D

  • probably the best song on the album. imo

  • King of Limbs is the best Radiohead album ever

  • I've never listened to Radiohead before but want to give them a chance because I've heard they are great! Can someone explain why this song is good to me?

  • @Anderspish If you have to ask that question then you cant really listen to this song as you should. Radiohead is a band where you have to listen to their songs at least 3 or 4 times, I mean really listen to all the detail, to actually appreciate the talent thats happening. Listen to it a few more times then come back and post what you think, Im positive you will have a different outlook on the song.

  • @CCMBass2014 Thanks for the response, I'll give it a shot!

  • @Anderspish It's also great to start with OK Computer, their third album. They have a lot of really cool songs on there that might get you hooked. Then on to Kid A, and keep checking out all of their albums. They have a lot of diverse and amazing music!

  • @Anderspish it's what i can only describe as a flower blossoming in front of you, bringing in new sounds and rhythms, each reacting beautifully with eachother, until the flower finally comes to a close.

  • Very experimental.

  • @lucashalb they got well they've always been good but they got better :)

  • saw this on the colbert report....lol

  • @ robgnarly64 - great call man.. i couldnt agree more. each time i hear that part through my headphones it sounds better than the last! radiohead has taken music to a new plateau..but no seriously dude eh eh

  • clearly a grower.

  • A universal sigh.

  • Why did this album get so good reviews is beyond me.

  • Don't blow your mind with why

  • @coltonhb2 My favourite lyric in this epic song.

  • @dfjnjfn Hell yeah, mine too. All the lyrics in this song are amazing as well.

  • you can definately hear the musical influence of hughie louis as he sits on a violin

  • awesome song to listen to when high.

  • WHAT'S HAPPENED WITH RADIOHEAD? FUCK!

  • Ok I'll shut up sorry

  • My reaction? INCREDIBLE

  • 1. Amnesiac :) my definite favorite

    2. OK Computer

    3. Kid A

    4.In Rainbows

    5.Hail to the Thief

    6.The Bends

    7. The King of Limbs

    8. Pablo Honey

  • @greedorulez I'd agree with that list completely

  • @greedorulez how dare you not put OK Computer on first place?!

  • @DomelBf2PL

Man that was a bit defensive, since this is based on opinion like everything in music? OK Computer is a fantastic album! I just would put Amnesiac slightly ahead because it's interesting. Chill

  • LOL at the people who thought this was all just blips and bleeps. Did you see the BBC KOL :)

  • best song radiohead has ever written. for real.

  • @Jobizzie you sugested portishead, and now they are peforming with Clive Deamer, =] you have just made a goal here

  • This is the best song of TKOL and one of the best songs of Radiohead.

  • 2:17-3:24 is one of the GREATEST radiohead moments ever. thumbs up if you agree

  • I can hear a voice in the very begining. but just with my huge headphones. anyone else can hear it? maybe I'm already insane...

  • Radiohead. Radiohead never changes.

    They're perfect.

  • My favorite song off of TKoL. Although this isn't one of the best Radiohead albums, it has great moments.

  • The beginning reminds me of the theme from The Exorcist

  • One of my favorite songs by this band, definitely challenges "Airbag" as best opener.

  • This is my favorite track from this album :D and probably a favorite Radiohead song.

  • • this album rocks, if you want to hear bands make the same tired, beaten down tunes , go bit torrent a Muse album or cry to some coldplay in your room.

p.s. if you consider yourself Avant-garde enough to give criticism, understand that you never made Kid A, you never made OK cpu, you never made jack shit.

with that said... let this shit fuck your ear pussy until their next album, and maybe it will meet your standards then bitches

    hows that for lengthy

  • Comment removed

  • The comments on this song seem to be becoming duller and more lengthy (and increasingly hilarious).

People neglect to see that Radiohead comes in different flavours, and that every new release isn't an attempt to better past albums.

  • I love this song when I'm working. Its insane, I become a 1000 times more productive!

  • One of the best Radioheadsongs ever.

  • Best song ever.

  • Radiohead vs DJ Shadow = The Gloaming. Tru story.

  • Radiohead is without a doubt, the most cutting edge mainstream band out there. I start to pick apart the recording processes they use but end up giving up about half way through the song

  • I can´t see nothing, i´m blind

  • um EHEheheheh.

  • This is a pretty good opener, but not the best by their standards. Don't get me wrong though, it's a cool song. One thing that always gets me- the opening piano riff sounds so lush, I just want it to continue and come more lively in the song, but it always cuts off and every time I feel longing for it to continue D: I need to start remixing songs to fit my picky musical desires...

  • @Ozzymoto do you get it? KEP-cup-kip-kepp-KHMMMMMMM!

  • @SlimeTron5000 Do I get what...?

  • So sad the prism bars enchanting, prisons of the heart and mind. A soul ignites...

  • Definitely can see the respect they have for Miles Davis here.

  • @triwizard24 Nice observation. Bitches Brew

  • Everytime I listen to this album, it dawns on me that it just may be the album of the millennium...

    SERIOUS.

  • i cant decide if this or Separator is my favourite at the moment!

  • 1. Kid A and OK Computer

    2. Amnesiac

    3. In Rainbows

    4. The Bends

    5. Hail To The Thief and The King Of Limbs

    6. Pablo Honey

  • Because we're ranking:

    IR

    Kid A

    Hail to the Thief

    OKC

    TKOL

    The Bends

    Amnesiac

    Pablo Honey

  • You know what? you can't compare any Radiohead album with the previous ones, because they're always totally different from each other, it's like comparing The Beatles with Kraftwerk.

Every Radiohead Album is supreme in its style. That's because Radiohead is the most perfect Band ever. Period.

  • @Zekusuu amen baby.

  • @Zekusuu

I'd agree with you if amnesiac didn't exist.

  • OMG! stop arguing what your favourite album is, everyone has different opinions and tastes so stop trying to push your own interpretation onto everyone else.

  • this played non stop in my head all day today

  • At spots like 3:50 his voice sounds like its blooming. Absolutly incredible

  • colin greenwood clearly rules this album

  • @odogc Hell Yeah Bass Players Unite!!!!

  • @JoHnS0123 HELL YEAHHH BABY

  • One thing I've noticed is that, fans are becoming alienated by Radiohead's new sound; comparing OK COMPUTER to TKOL would be like comparing the ground and sky (in any order).

Bands these days are unable to evolve in term of their music because of the fan base. In the end, one way or the other, a band will make new fans and alienate older ones, depending on their direction. Radiohead being in the musical scene for about 20 years have understood this concept, and accepted it whole heartedly.

  • @AzQ22 Its funny how the new bands now suck compared to their old music, BUT Radiohead has evolved and made their music the best thing that ever pop up the worlds mind. :)

  • bass on this album = :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • 1) The Bends

    2) OK Computer

    3) Pablo Honey

    7) Pablo Honey

  • @degree7 NO!

    1) Pablo Honey, The Bends, Ok Computer, Kid A, Amnesiac, Hail To The Thief, In Rainbows, The King Of Limbs

Every Radiohead album was their best album, I would not risk myself saying on of their album is bad.

  • 1. Kid A

    2. In Rainbows

    3. OK Computer

    4. Hail to the Thief

    5. Amnesiac

    6. The Bends

    7. Pablo Honey

  • Needs more horns, less snare drums.

  • People don't like pablo honey apparently

  • @nacholu28 Not me, I dont rank Radiohead's albums; they're all number one to me!

  • So far i still prefer In Rainbows!!!

  • Hail to the Theif is definitely my favorite fuckin album.

  • Hail to the Theif is definitely my favorite fuckin album.

  • @itsconrad132 Same! Why do people rate it so low???

  • 1. In Rainbows

    2. OK Computer

    3. Amnesiac

    4. Kid A

    5. The Bends

    6. Hail to the Thief

    7. Pablo Honey

I have to wait awhile before saying anything about The King of Limbs

  • @rhcprh I've gotta agree with ya on the most part, except...

    1. OK Computer

    2. Amnesiac

    3. The Bends

    4. Kid A

    5. In Rainbows

    6. Hail to the Thief

    7. Pablo Honey

  • I like that you put Amnesiac higher than Kid A like I did. Seems as if too many people think because it was the later release it wasn't supposed to be as good

  • @rhcprh But songs like the National Anthem, Idioteque and Optimistic are so fucking good

  • @wackitywack I agree but so are Pyramid Song, Knives Out, and Like Spinning Plates. Both albums are great but in my personal preference I found myself playing Amnesiac more often than Kid A

  • 1 Kid a

    2 Amnesiac,

    3 Ok computer

    4 The king of limbs

5 In the rainbow another album all egual except pablo honey that's orrible

  • 1. OK Computer

    4) In Rainbows

    5) Kid A

    6) Amnesiac

    7) The King of Limbs

    8) Pablo Honey

  • I wonder if the band starts arguing about which of their albums was the best or would they feel bad that their fans grade their albums.... if they read these comments... not that this is the only page where they compare albums.

  • 1. Pablo Honey

    2. Kid A

    3. Amnesiac

    4. In Rainbows

    5. Hail to the Thief

    6. OK Computer

    7. The King of Limbs

    8. The Bends

  • @mindbender91 ok computer at 6? :s

  • @skeezerzz I was alot more fascinated with their experimental albums like Kid A and such. OK Computer was a massive album and it did strike a chord with me. I love OK Computer and it changed the way I look at music forever. Hail to the Thief just came first, and the album came out at a very tough time in my life, so it means more to me.

  • @alexolivero i agree extremely with this list

  • Musical Ecstacy.

  • @Jobizzie I can hear the DJ Shadow type influence. Radiohead sometimes have that deep and dark trip hop influence reminiscent of Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky, Amon Tobin, Unkle, AllFlaws

  • @blackangelsmoke i can hear burial in this aswell

  • @robskim101 Unfortunately nowhere near the genius of Burial for me at the moment. However Radiohead always grow over time so I shall not give up on it yet..

  • @blackangelsmoke I love you too for that comment! I've listened to all those artists you've just listed for ages! They are my heart! So wonderful to see such a fantastic band like Radiohead influenced by equally talented muscians! 'If music be the food of love, play on!' <3

  • @blackangelsmoke

    and gorillaz.

  • @blackangelsmoke I read somewhere that Thom has also drawn inspiration from glitch artists such as Autechre, case in point here i think. Amazing man fantastic band, maybe the most important of our time, always out on the experimental edge and never afraid to try something new. Never heard of AllFlaws but i'll check them out as i love all the other groups you mentioned.

  • this is Radiohead's Dub-Step Album..

  • @RajeshMukkath that doesnt make any sense, there's nothing even remotely like dubstep in King of Limbs

  • @danielinsporto go and listen to 'Untrue' by Burial then come back...

  • @robskim101 listened to it, came back. sorry but i just dont hear the connection...at all

  • @danielinsporto drums not quite in time, lots going on and similar structure I think is what is being alluded to.

  • @RajeshMukkath I thought that too for some reason although it really isn't Dubstep, the bass if more prominent throughout the album

  • 1. Kid A

    2. In Rainbows

    3. OK Computer

    4. Amnesiac

    5. King Of Limbs

    6. The Bends

    7. Hail to the Thief

    8. Pablo Honey

  • Don't compare this album to Kid A just because it's electronic. In reality it couldn't be any further from Kid A.

  • Yet again, Radiohead's new album has grown on me, this song is so fudging awesome! I hope Radiohead never die!

  • I'm desperately trying to love this song but the drum loop feels too out of place at times. Around 2:50 is fucking amazing though.

  • My favorite off KoL as of now...

  • The woozy background beat reminds me of In Limbo

  • I got goosebumps around 2:30. Probably because it's friggin cold here

  • I knows the initial melody (00:00 - 00:08), from a movie i think, i heard it before, someone knows whats from?.

  • goes

    1) Kid A

    2) OK Comp

    3) Bends

    4) In Rainbows

    5) Hail to the thief / Amnesiac

    6) King of Limbs

    7) Pablo Honey

.. its not that KoL isnt amazing its just their discography is unbelievable.. it might over take hail to theif soon after repeated listens.. each listen unveils something new.. certainly not a dissapointment

  • took some time to get used to this, but you REALLY get sucked into this

  • Not every Radiohead album needs to have a "message", just sit back and enjoy the music (though it's hard not to move some sort of limb during each track). I really like it myself.. It's not going to be as good as In Rainbows in my opinion but it's still a winner.

  • It's pretty good, I just don't really like the confusing and extreme looping... It's like listening to Braids "Native Speaker" album, the mellow tones and warm chords mixed together perfectly.

  • I never liked radiohead, this is changing my mind.

  • What a lovely tune.

  • colin greenwood just takes this somewhere else... what an absolutely excellent musician that man is

  • In Rainbows was better

  • @jockohomo84 in rainbows was easier to get, not a masterpiece. they're both great in different ways

  • Oh I'm bored of this crap, seriously. Radiohead's last decent album was OK Computer.

  • @monkeywrench666 really you thought kid a, amnesiac, and in rainbows sucked???, how dare you even say ok computer was decent

  • @Ciara203 Matter of taste? OK Computer had some great songs in it, you obvioulsy prefer this stuff.

  • @monkeywrench666 I think Ciara meant that OK Computer was much better than decent. Which it was by far.

  • @monkeywrench666 Maybe Amnesiac could be seen as crap, and Kid A too, but In Rainbows, in my opinion has one of their best songs on "Jigsaw falling into place", and Hail to The Theif is pretty good too, better than this King Of Limbs I think. But I'm giving it time to sink in. I never liked HTTT at first either come to think of it, but now I do.

  • @qpwo6 Don't get me wrong, there is the odd good song in all of the albums that followed OK Computer and many will prefer this version of Radiohead...Faust Arp, The Pyramid Song, Morning Bell and others are very good...I guess I just miss the old days, I'll never forget the disappointment when I bought Kid A and Amnesiac. Matter of taste ;)

  • @monkeywrench666 To each his own, if by "each" you mean "hell" and by "his own" you mean "you go."

  • this beat is Senegalese Sabar .... I love Radio Head

  • annoying that they spend so many hours doin this work an peep's put on here for free all music but me im goin to buy this are u

  • @1gofui Yes...yes I am, the only one I refuse to buy is Pablo Honey...Have the rest.

  • Best album of decade 2010-2019 IS HERE!

    Radiohead AGAIN!

  • @billscorpse Wait hold on...they might still have even more!!! No less, Radiohead is sweet!

  • Hahahahahahahaha! [Evil laughs] I am born again!

  • So, I am listening to king of limbs on constant loop now...

  • I think that this song would make a great acoustic track..Thom's voice is outstanding on this song.

  • sounds like a mix of DJ shadow and flying lotus. AND THATS AWESOME!

  • @Jobizzie

I know! Im a huge Rhead fan, but have been listening to a lot of Dub Step lately.. especially Flying Lotus, and I am shocked to see how Avant Garde and similar the structures are.

  • @Jobizzie i don't hear the DJ shadow. Sorry. But you're wrong.

  • @Zvanunhoft Haha, okay, Barry. (If someone gets that reference, reply bahaha)

  • @Zvanunhoft listen to 'six days' i get a very similar vibe.

  • When is the physical copy of this album available for sale in Canada?

  • @TheGabcat You can download it on their website tomorrow for $9 (US) Or i think you can download it right now.

  • @dclaver2 Thanks, but i kind of want to own the physical copy. In the flesh, so to say. Do you think it will be for sale at HMV any time soon?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheGabcat It gets a physical release at the end of March, I'm pretty sure it's the 28th :)

  • @wonderfulwomp Can't wait! Thanks so much!

  • This album is definitely a grower, it takes some time to be fully familiar with what they're doing here.

  • cant buy this album for 2 weeks ahhhh, i want to support these guys this album is fantastic fuck you itunes is what this albums secret message is

  • How the hell are they going to play this song live? The drum beat is very spiratic not that its ever not spiratic.

  • @MrCranebaer it's 6/4..so it's extremely easy

  • @BlackTreeRomania

    It's not 6/4, it's 6/8...

  • @NghtmareOnSushi still extremely easy

  • Absolutely beautiful
