What is it about the book and the movie that gives of this majestic spirit that gives you such a warm and comforting feeling?

I don't cry to films but ive cried to this one many of times ive experienced euphoria while watching this tears of joy and tears of sadness. This movie is more groundbreaking than star wars.

One of the things I love about this soundtrack is that Howard Shore chose incredibly unique, beautiful voices for the vocals in the songs, and all the lyrics in Elvish or any other Middle-Earth languages have meaning and are actually correctly translated. You can tell he spent a long time making it perfectly Tolkien.
