I replaced my Zune HD 32 gig with a Samsung Galaxy Wifi 5.0. I only wish Samsung had released their wifi players earlier. I never never never would have bought the Zune. I am looking for a place to sell my Zune.

I just got a Zune HD a week ago from ebay. Zune Marketplace is now available in Canada including the Zune Music pass. I love this device! I mainly use it for podcasts, video and the radio. There are not alot of apps available but the ones I have installed are free and useful (email, MSN Money, Twitter etc). Too bad Microsoft dropped the Zune HD. Smart phones in Canada are expensive so the Zune HD fits my budget and I get to use a cool device for my media.

The zune HD is the best mp3 players hands down it has the best audio output. It may not have all the apps but I have an evo for that so it doesn't concearn me. So if you want something for multimedia purposes then get an iPod but if you want something for great music then get a zune.

The ZuneHD's games and apps are free, and while it doesn't have that many, the ones that are available are pretty good. Everyone was amazed at PGR: Ferrari's graphics, which truly shows of what a Tegra can do. And the weather app comes in pretty handy. Also the ZuneHD has the best version of Solitaire I've seen on a handheld.

I have both iPod and ZUNE and to be honest ZUNE piss on the iPod when it comes to play music, videos , RADIO, and the sound it is awesome, I will always keep my ZUNE.

Honestly this is the best mp3 player I've had as far as battery life, sound, and resolution. I've only had it for 3 weeks and I sold my Iphone 3gs and its been a pretty good replacement!

@puppyjoe69 out of all the comments i read on here i felt i had to reply to this one. Yes Zune is most likely dead, apple already had the mp3 world in a strangle hold even before Microsoft introduced Zune. And just like Zune vs. Ipod, if apple comes out with a gaming console microsoft will always be on top because they already own the industry. Not saying that Apple's device won't be good though. I'm sure Apple will learn from Microsoft's mistake and follow up with the device.

Zune HD is a great PMP. Best sound, best display, coolest looking device. It's so compact too, it has the best form factor for a portable device. Unfortunately, there is the iPod...it's the Zune killer. More will still buy the iPod because of the apps. Microsoft just lacks follow thru, foresight and marketing skills. Bill Gates is no Steve Jobs when it comes to marketing. Hardware is not really Microsoft's strong suit.

lol the zune is amazing, i love it, obviously the apps arent going to be as good as ipod touch, but the video/sound quality is great, the video is so pure and clear, and the sound is just as good as the ipod, depending on ur headphones, it has pretty good EQ and the touch screen/menu/organization is great, the only problem i had with it was the internet to get working......but if ur looking for an mp3 solely for music, go for the zune its a bit cheapter than the ipod touch

I had a zune hd for 15 days and I hated it!! I traded it in for a iPod touch the next day. And I love my iPod! I got the zune in 09 btw, and I havnt heard anything about it since then, your lucky if you find one person that even knows what it is. I think deep down everyone knows iPod touch - zune hd. Though for just music zune is pretty good. But it's dead :p

Most people would suggest the iPod Touch as a first option for a portable media device but I personally would rather have the Zune because I want a media device that is truly dedicated to the media experience (primarily music) which I think is where Microsoft made a better choice than Apple. For another $50-$100 you can connect the Zune with a device to HDTVs. I also prefer the user interface.

POOR MARKETING - australia-africa-asia-europe = no sales or bad marketing

NO SERVICE - music store only limited to 3-4 countries and rest of the world ?

NO APPS - maybe 14 apps ?

BAD HARDWARE - ipod touch 3rd generation had better hardware for handling device and software wise iOS kicked zune's ass

and ipod touch 4g vs ZUNE = epic fail

without iPhone ipod touch fails because most people who cant buy iphone buy ipod touch + go buy some android-symbian

Exactly what I was saying. Zune is a better media player. Technically speaking, it has better sound quality, Also, the OLED screen is a great plus, but iPod offers a lot of features that Zune doesn't, such as the thousands of apps and cameras now. I believe they're about equal when you take all into consideration, but the iPod will always dominate just because it's more famous.

@1994edgarcuevas I suppose that's a decent reason. It's all preference. I prefer the Zune because of the better audio quality, and I'm not that big on apps. Also, in my opinion, the Zune software is much easier to use than iTunes. Then again, I live in the US, so I don't have to deal with the marketplace issues other countries do. Zune Marketplace is equal to me in the music department with iTunes now. It mainly just lacks apps, which I don't find important in a music player. I've had both.

The 4th gen iPod Touch trumps the ZuneHD by FAR in terms of both hardware and software. The only thing that the Zune has over the iPod Touch is better audio quality, but that is easily fixed by downloading apps such as EQu from the App Store. The 4th gen iPod Touch is in a different league than the Zune; so yes, the Zune is dead.

Ipods have itunes synch which is one of their main features, there are lots of other PMP's that have a lot better sound then ipods like cowon though they lack in UI

I must say Tony that this device look's rather simplistic in it's operation, Which in itself is a good thing, I was actually looking into getting me one of those because of recommendations from ppl i have spoken to, But on the other hand, What's so typical of Microsoft is the lack of support, Which for me is a big issue, Living in the UK an all, Microsoft trying to dominate and tell the user what to do will never work, Then to top it all off with no market place support would turn me right off
