  • @Ggalacticos sykrim on this kind of imac is more than enough. btw it is so badass to play on 2560X1440 on max.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy alright :D

  • Douchebags thatget windows on a mac. Its like putting a chevy engine in a ford -_-

  • @ALittleNooby Bro don't hate. It's cool to have both OS's.

  • @UrFavoriteWhiteboy Yeah. I realized having both is okay.

  • @ALittleNooby awww sounds like someone is a little jealous

  • @tiggerjayeward wut?

  • @ALittleNooby exactly what i said

  • @tiggerjayeward What have you been smoking and give me some...

  • @ALittleNooby smokeing air

  • @tiggerjayeward can i have some....

  • @ALittleNooby yea sure heres how you make it

    1.Open mouth (optional)

    2.Breath fast

    3.????

    4.u got high

  • @tiggerjayeward I like 3.

  • i have windows 7 64 bit with core2duo 2.93 and 4 gb ram and nvidia 520 gt

and i want to install snow leopard on the same pc

    who is better with gaming

    win 7 64 bit or snow ?

  • @strangeboy190 Windows. OS X is better for classic arcade games. I love them. But for hardcore gaming you need windows.

  • so, picture me as a hardcore pro ruthless WoW/minecraft-gamer guy, can i play on it without any fps problems and such??

  • wow...i played this on high with my pc in 2007 ...

  • @tron178 congratulations?

  • do you think when i would get the same imac than you i could play the newest games on it for about 2 years?

  • @takoylhsopensource

    300 watt psu

    1tb gig hard drive

and it came with a giant 27 1080p inch moniter from hp with a light sensor for perfect backlight intensity, hdmi, dvi, vga ports with built in two speakers

    windows 7 premium

soon im going to add a much better graphics card and water cooler then im going to overclock the cpu to 4 ghs per core

    :)

  • @takoylhsopensource Oh by the way, i DID get a PC it was stock and for 1.6k but I got it for around 1.2k 'cause there was a special sale here's the specifications...

Amd Phemon II six-core 2.7ghz each core (with speed boost to 3.2ghz each core) 1045t

    8gb ddr3 dual channel(the channels is a guess because i didn't really check)

ATI Radeon HD 5450 w/ 1/2 gig ram

HP high speed multi optical drive w/ blu-ray (lightscribe also since all hp drives have that)

  • HOW DO YOU DO LIKE THIS :O! Changing between Mac And Windows PLZ PLZ SHOW ME!!!

  • @GuRy1993RaDiR dont listen to the pc fanboys new imacs can max out any game

  • hey im getting the newest version of this, and my question is..is going to run bt3? or dead island? and most importatn will it run ELDER SCROLL 5 SKYRIM?

what do u think? please answear me =)

  • @GuRy1993RaDiR No way dude get a PC that can for half of the price what this ishit cost:)

  • I am getting the 21.5 in $1499 iMac will this Handel games like bf3 or minecraft and do I need a program to run these games? Pls reply!

  • @commfg23 someone from macrumors said that their macbook pro ran bf3 at 40-55fps. thats definetly good news, hears the link: forums(dot)macrumors(dot)com/showthread(dot)php?t=1214782

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy yes a macbook pro may able to run with 40-55fps on bf3, but only if you tuned down the settings and resolution. the most high end macbook pro equips with the ati 6770m, which is not sufficient to run above 40fps at 1024x768 on low medium settings. btw what gpu has you imac got?

  • @commfg23 If You really wanna play games like that, I suggest you to build a PC. Mac´s are not designed for playing games...

  • @DJsQuar3On3 would you say a ausus pc could play bf3 and other games?

  • @commfg23 1499???? damn for that cash you can build up a powerhouse PC

  • @DJsQuar3On3 yea but my parents want to buy a pre built one cause the think ill fry something so do you think a $880 asus will play games like bf3?

  • @commfg23 What are the specs? I don´t think you need more than a high end dual core or a lower end quad core, 4 gigs of ram, and a hd 5870 or gtx 470 to max it out on a single monitor...

  • @commfg23 even a hd 5850 9s fine I think.

  • @commfg23 just buy a giming pc

  • @sameq1337 *gaming*

  • I want to get JUST the case for this sucker and pack a ASUS mini atx mobo and triple SLI...

Any ideas where I can get one of these bare bone with just the display installed?

Also, how much did this mac cost you?

  • Comment removed

  • What type of fan do you use ?

  • Here's a hint, don't buy Mac

  • is this good for minecraft & the sims 3 and also COD.

  • any lagg and all i need is windows 7 i heard i need my lepord disc dont got it ?

  • I GOT A IMAC FROM LOCKERZ

  • Guys, every new Mac now ships with a program called Bootcamp. All you need is a valid copy of Windows. You simply run "Bootcamp Assistant" and it walks you through the process. It's super simple and only took me about 1 hour. I love having the quality and stability of the Mac as well as the ability to play PC games. All I use Windows for is to play games. Everything else is done of the Mac side. This 27" display is by far the nicest LED displays I have seen. Simply beautiful.

  • Windows Experience index scores,PLS!

  • Have you the i5 or the i7 ?

  • did u notice that the imac is noisy...

  • @ultimatetoturial56 that isn't the imac

  • Might be getting that new thunderbolt i7 27" iMac some time this week. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the power of that baby!

Thanks for letting me know I can play CRYSIS on this rig! :D

  • apple.freebiejeebies .co.uk /550786 (Delete all spaces) get Imac, macbook pro, macbook air, Iphone4,ipad2 absolutely free!Register through that link choose a prize complete 1 free offer(intuit offer)or refer 2 people and swap for the offer, refer a few people and claim your prize!Only with this link you get half the referals when you complete the free offer!!This is no scam this is real! • just like killzone and the british helghast =(

  • Wow. I mean, Crysis is a good game and all, but I didn't like it for one reason: I'm korean. Yeah sure, it's nice to kill some north koreans, but they shout proper korean words, and killing them just made me feel sad, a bit like killing your own men.

  • did u use bootcamp?

  • Noob

  • Does EVERYBODY throw that turtle?

  • I'm not much of a computer techie but can I get a list of all the things that you upgraded from the standard /factory model i7?

  • Oh, and will this run on the $1999 one, it's i5

  • Everyones thinks that Mac computers are way to expensive, they just don't realize the quality of it, macs don't have a lot of viruses, pcs are filled with them, pc is ok but Mac has better quality

  • what rig u have?

  • kOoL! I wonder if a 3.6 GHz Core i5 + ATI Radeon HD 5670 (512MB) equipped 27" iMac will run Crysis at a decent frame rate on "high" settings (???)

  • and what resolution are u running this on?

  • hey howd u switch to windows so fast like that ?!

  • noooooooooooooooo waaaaaaaai the turtle!

  • Can you make a tutriol on how to get windows 7 and make 2 duffrent acounts

  • Comment removed

  • @delta0zero you serious bro, just be patient and you'll find out today. ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @delta0zero An Xbox has a lowered spec version of crysis 2. Maxing it on the XBox is equivalent to mediam on the PC. An XBox on has 10MB of video RAM, most computers have 512-1024MB. And for the record Crysis 2 for PC IS the hardest game for PC to run, which is saying something about xboxes.

  • @One4TheTechnoGuy why's everyone taking my comment so seriously

  • The one thing I hate about this game is that you never get enough of the SCAR ammo...

  • why did you kill that crabby ???? :'( he was not a terrorist.....

  • How did you switch back and forth so fast!

  • i have a question i want this with i7 but it costs 2,718.95 for 8 gig ram (2x4gb) but 3,318.95 for 16 gig ram (4x4gb) which should i get? speed wise not money wise of coarse (im gonna get a mac in the net couple of months

  • @chickenpoper get all of your ram from different supplier like crucial.com, that's what i did. its the same stuff apple uses but way less expensive. if you're going to use high value applications that utilize more than 8gb then ok, but if it's just for gaming 8gb is more than enough, anything else, more than enough. cheers

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy Thank you

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy how much did your mac cost you and which type is it, i wanna get it !!!

  • @chickenpoper WATCH OUT WHAT YOU BUY, because i think imacs use dimm ram....

  • @chickenpoper hopefully its not to late! for almost 4 fucking grand you can buy a PC thats got a better I7, 16gbs gbs of ramm and prolly quad sli or xfire, with water cooling and everything........... and windows 7 which blew anything mac out of the water. i guarentee you if you got a pc with the stuff i mentioned would prolly run under 2500 and would be 10x faster.

  • thx a lot for uploading this video, I want this imac a lot and I was very curious about how this beast could run crysis. You're the first I find showing crysis with these specs.

  • @maxohpne no prob. you will enjoy your new iMac indefinitely. more uploads coming soon, crysis 2 wink wink ;)

  • what resolution do you have for gaming?

  • hi, how do you boot so quickly from mac os to windows 7? i know your computer is faster than my MBP 13, but when i do it, i have to restart the computer

  • @MikeyZeov This is called 'video editing'

BlueMonkeyGuy does not wanna bother us with loading screens. And he's damn right!

BTW, could BlueMonkey give us the whole settings here ? Thx dude

  • If i get a mac and (god forbid) dual boot, It would not be windows. It would be something else, such as Ubuntu Linux.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy how did you manage to get windows 7 to run at that resolution? because I have windows 7 on my 27 ich imac with the ati 5750 and I can only have a resoluton of 1440x1990 which is weak hd, I really need your advice because I just don't no what to do anymore, the fact that I can run windows 7 via bootcamp is great but its max res is less than hd and I cant have it any higher, so your my only hope to tell me how I can get windows 7 to the resolutuon of what your running it at.

  • @ImprovedAtom poor you.

  • @lolyjoly123 not anymore my little bitch :)

  • Apple - It just works.Even Windows

  • I hear that SMC is runing fans on full blast :) Got the same when playing Black Ops

  • @kikochas can you play with a controller on an imac?

  • @jeroeni22 yes you can, but you have to have a usb receiver for the wireless xbox controller

  • @jeroeni22 I use a PS3 controller. You need a handy program called DS3Tool

  • how u get windowson

  • @stanny1201 bootcamp

  • Hey BlueMonkey, awesome vid! I just have two questions, 1. When you bought your mac, did you go for 2x4GB Ram or 4x2GB? 2. What resolution are you playing at in this demo?

    thanks!

  • are you playing it with a controller or with a mouse and keyboard?

  • @kikochas i tried both keyboard/mouse(this video) and xbox controller for windows but the keyboard/mouse flowed much more. keyboard/mouse is for pc originally :D

  • Instead of using Parallels Desktop you're using Bootcamp and that's right. You have more FPS and you're right.

  • So I'm new to the whole "Mac OS" thing. Well, not even new, just looking into it. And with the Windows OS on the iMac, can you play windows only games? Such as newer games that have just released that don't have a Mac OS counterpart?

  • @Khaosreign if you boot up windows seperately from mac osx, then its like having another computer with windows with all of its features including, yes, the ability to play windows games that dont yet have a mac counterpart.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy So how do you get the Windows OS to be on there? Is there an extra purchase that goes alone with it?

  • wow that's great !

    but I have a question

I haven't bought an iMac yet

but how do u switch between mac and windows 7 so fast ?

    is it boot camp ?

  • @AzizSmh the main aspect of the switching is bootcamp, which takes about 45 seconds to complete from mac shutdown to windows login. it was so fast in the video because i had to cut out all of the unnecessary parts because i was running over the video time limit.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy oh I didn't realize that srry lol =)

  • that is insane, im getting a 27imac, 16gb ram, 2.93GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, that should keep be good for some time lol

  • @mediadhanjal definitely for some time :D you will love it

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy Hi is this imac better than Windows PC for games? (27'')

  • Comment removed

  • wow...crazy light bleeding on that monitor lol apple fail

  • Hi, I have the iMac 27 i5 4GB.

Is the i7 8 GB really much faster to play like me?

  • @minisofwar it depends, if you got the i5 before august it is less stronger than the i5 after august and definitley less stronger than this i7. but you could handle games at lesser resolutions and be fine. plus the extra 4gb helps a lot.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy some people say you don't have to use AA at a resolution like 2560 x1440 is this true?

i have an 27 inch, ati radeon hd 5750, i7, 8 gb ram

  • Hey, it says at the end that GTA IV is next, are you still planning to upload a video of it at some stage? and thanks for doing this one!

  • @nzluis i think im going to do new vegas first then i'll probably do GTA IV

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy Ok, both sound good :) Thanks for doing these

  • How did you restart and switch virtual machines so quick ?

  • @z1pfL good for you, and crysis doesn't suck in the graphical aspect of pc games

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy i mean moh ;)

  • @z1pfL ok gotcha... makes total sense ;D

  • whats the point buying a mac and installing windows xp/7/vista?

  • @xXdavidroeck1996Xx i bought the imac for design production but also as a gamer, i was like why not install win 7 and play pc games on this powerful mac.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy I would just have windows 7 on this beautiful machine ^^

  • @epizowningyou than what the point of buying a apple?

  • @KoolJust4U it's a computer with very high screen quality, it has power and it's SO tiny !

    It actually worths the price.

  • @epizowningyou i know, i went to the apple store and look at their stuff. and im just Jaw Dropped. just look at the quility of the build. and their os is so simple and now they even have app store. sure it expensive but u paying for the quility and reliability with a great service. i will be getting my new mac soon.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy Yeah, I bought mine for using the Mac OS for daily things, and Windows OS for gaming only. :-)

  • a ok thanks. i love the design of an imac but the price?!?! is fucking shit

  • @xXdavidroeck1996Xx Its expensive. But it has a built in 27" 16:9 LED display (2560 - 1440) and apple LED screens are beautiful.

  • @iMac1787 that´s true...i would prefer the macpro

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy hahahahaha the imac is not powerful XD

  • HEY EVERYONE!!! I just uploaded my new video of the Medal of Honor BETA on the iMac running on MAX settings.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy o0

my laptop can run this shitty lookin game with highest quality....

    the game sucks btw

  • cani play it on the miac 27 i3?

  • @schweingut1 sure why not? you may be able to play it nut not at such quality.

  • whats the buzzing noise? comp or cam?

  • @SummerWizz1 that would be the cam, canon 7d is notorious for in mic video noise.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy ah ok, is the imac silent? i was thinking of getting this exact same model but with 4gb

  • @SummerWizz1 thats awesome you'll love the new imac 27inch.my quick minireview on the imac dynamic:

it is totally silent, but thats bcuz the fans are running slow, so it gets a little hot (osx). i got a program that increases the fan speed and i dont mind the small ambient noise. but when runnning win7 it gets hot and on auto it should raise the speed to be safe, but when playing cpu intensive crysis i set the speed to high so that my cpu is cooling down and im playing my game smoothly.

  • @SummerWizz1 btw, if you're going to play games on either osx or windows, i recommend getting 8gb ram. dont try to get the default 4gb and then try to find an additional 4gb from crucial or another source for a cheaper price. i did that and it was a shit process for me and my imac would crash alot when on the win 7 side. just buy 8gb from apple and you'll be set for gaming or other ram hungry processes. my main reason why i got 4gb more was for video editing.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy oh i was going to play some crysis on it and i was going to buy like 16gb of ram from amazon or something, apples ram options are such a scam but i guess performance comes before price :(

  • @SummerWizz1 8gb is the easiest and very sufficient for crysis. remember you're going to shell out alot of money for the 16gb because imac has four ram slots, so max ram is 16gb, but in 4gb sections (very expensive), or you can do what i did 8gb (4 x 2gb sections) but then again who am i to tell you what your money is worth ;)

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy ill just go with the 8gb and if its to slow ill swap it for 16 XD i hate apples prices though, its like there selling a comp made from gold.

  • @SummerWizz1 to me and hopefully to you, i love my 27 inch gold comp XD

  • @SummerWizz1 Buy the memories from a third part dealer then. NEVER from Apple themselves. That's a massive loss of money.

  • are all setting just set to High ? is there any AA ?

  • LOL @ Turtle Throw

  • iMac = win

  • max it out

  • @TheAteston i did except the max shaders didn't load for some reason

  • Did u stop the recording of the video while windows seven was loading and later edited the video, right? ...that was to fast opening the OS.

  • @MrAndrePereiraSantos i had to edit that out becuase as you can see i have a 10:00 limit

  • Wonderful...

  • Comment removed

  • crysis is set only to use 256 mb of ram (what they were thinking of?) you can change it to the right amount of ram your gpu has and you will win up to 20 fps. that's what i did and i was amazed by the performance i got. just try it.

  • @63Jax my gpu has a 1gb of GDDR5 ram. how do you set the ram amount? thats very interesting

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy Create an autoexec.cfg file and paste in the following: con_restricted=0

sys_budget_videomem = 1024 (your right amount of gpu ram)

    r_TexturesStreaming=0

To make a cfg file just open an notepad document and rename it autoexec.cfg and then save it and paste it in your crysis main folder. It worked great for me.

  • @63Jax your not able to set the dedicated amout of ram. only if you have a onboard gpu wich uses shared memory, you can configure it to use some additional RAM. for example 256MB VRAM + 1024MB RAM = 1.2GB of videomemory, but you have less 'normal' ram available

  • @bascompany14 just google it and you'll see that it works it also worked with my 5830. i gained 15 fps and i am not the only one.

  • try maxed it out at your resolution and with AA and AF. 100 bucks it's under 20 FPS.

    lol

  • @FedoraFTW you're right, i've noticed the fps to decrease a lot to around 15-25fps at 8xAA so i lowered it. i dont need that much AA

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy yeah overclockerclub OCed a 5750 and got an average of 8 FPS with everything completely maxed out and just 4x AA

5750 is a low end gaming card.

you should try metro 2033 in DX11 maxed out. i bet it will also get like 10 FPS

  • @FedoraFTW thats one thing apple didn't think about when designing the imac, they place a high end laptop gpu in a desktop that needs more power like whatever your set up is.

  • @BlueMonkeyGuy yeah, i would never buy a mac. im a PC gamer and i build computers so that hands on experience is not there. also they put low end GPUS when you just paid well over a grand for a computer.
