The Capo isn't a useless piece of equipment. I find I use it a lot when I play Ballads or more 'Melodic Songs' because they can sometimes give the song just that little extra bit of depth or 'Ring'.

Exactly dowhay, the capo is for changing the key of the song to suit the singer's voice, or to just bring it up a little.

I agree! I saw Fanning live at the Tivoli last year! It was a great concert and his blues and roots musician was fabulous. His skills with the fiddle were magical, not onlywit his song but with many more on the album!
