@jjrudki I've completed in 3 times on my main SL180, and i have made a pvp 2 days ago which is rank 50 in book of guilty, it's not as hard as people make out, some japanese dude completed the entire game in 1 hour 30 mins
@Amaterasu100able Warrior is better as you get better stats for melee and movement. Knight is basically a stand and take it type of guy and you cant do backstabs as easily.
@slayingdaimon actially Knight has more endurance...more endurance=better movement. in the end it does not matter. get enough STR and DEX to use the weapon you want, put the rest into Vitality and endurance unless you want to be a caster or priest class. Weapon scaling based on stats is terrible in this game and the best weapons in the end (confirmed by cheaters at max level) are lightning weapons, even better than S scaling items
@Kougeru I just meant that the warrior has more flexibility, lighter armor, and better starting weapons. I know that leveling up beyond certain points is pointless but the best weapons in the game for me are the ring of fog and homing crystal mass but its more of a play-style thing.

form what I read this is actually an ability not for Pyromancer but any class who make oath with Gravelord! And for players whoever got your curse can invade "YOU WORLD" and kill you to end the effect... So is really more of a provoke ability for people likes pvp.

I am having so much trouble picking Sorcerer or Pyromancer ^ ^ anyone got any details on their differences or what they are like in detail? Gravelord looks like a fun ability to use as well lol.
1 – Every class can learn every Pyromancer's spells, and require only slot to equipment them.
2 – So far still no idea what helps increase Pyromancer's spells dmg.
3 – Two self enhancement spell (Defence/resistance UP, Movement down with Str/Endurance UP, HP lose within time), one Fire resistance spell, the rest is all fire+fire+ fire and poison.
Conclusion: Nuking focuses, more available attribute (only require Attunement)
That's the info i found, this isn't like diablo once you pick a class and your skill are limited. The differences between each class are their starting attribute and fighting style, you can turn a mage into a warrior or other way around if you like (that would waste some attribute but yes is possible)
@ScienceBalance It sounds like starting class are pointless, but that is not 100% true. For example you just want to make caster with magic spells. Yes all class can do that, but since you will need a lot Attunement and INT, none of the class can compete with Sorcerer due to their low starting Attunement or INT or both. But if you want to make a magical warrior then the except Cleric all other class can be your pick. PS: I notice high Dex class with decent INT, high Str with decent Faith.

@ScienceBalance If i were you I first create a warrior then boost a few Attunement and buy the whatever spell of Pyromancer that looks cool. hey it "might" sux overall, but at least I'm satisfied. I personal don't like everyone going for the same build just because its strong not because we enjoy it. Beside even if it sucked it gives you a better idea when you create your next character, no one gets the perfect build at first time.

Also -- there's different covenants that directly combat Nito's: members of one covenent will actively hunt down members of Nito's covenant to gain humanity, while members of another covenant can "report" invaders by putting their names into a "book", allowing previously stated covenant the grounds by which to invade followers of Nito.
Gravelord is an ability given to you by Nito's covenant; not just anyone can use it. There's also risks involved -- while you're infecting three other people's worlds, they can at any time find where you placed the Gravelord item, and if they're all quick enough, can all invade "you" at once, pitting three of the griefed against the griefer. I think it's incentivized by giving you humanity when you use Gravelord, but I'm not entirely certain.
I'll probably end up picking the pyromancer since his stats are average compared to every other class and he only starts at lvl 1 so more customizing like the royal class in demons and also like the fact that I can make pvp happen more often
This offers more depth and RPG element bitches. You can RPG good by laying down green signs and great heals across worlds, this allow you to RPG evil Crying & saying that it free grieving is wrong, be damn sure that once a good player finds that Gravelord sign they're coming to kill the Pyromancer player. A fun give and take for the players on both ends. Video says "you don't get anything for doing this THAT THEY'ER TALKING ABOUT AT THE MOMENT" means there is something to gain yet to be revealed

Lol at all of the dislikes and negativity towards the gravelord ability. Think of it like this, once you've beaten the whole game and know all of the enemies and how to defeat them, wouldn't it be exciting to have new enemies added to your world?
You now have to option to kill the new enemies, kill the gravelord enemy, or invade the player that sent it and kill him. Keeps things fresh.
@phoenixparadox88 This sounded pretty stupid to me at first. An ability put into the game just to 'grief' people? They said it themselves. However, if you can invade other players, such as the one that set the gravelord, that makes it awesome. @IntricateDolphin theres an item in the game that makes the "griefing" happen more towards the players who have invaded other worlds, so if you're just minding your own business, your chances of getting bum rushed are pretty slim. I didn't want to spoil too much so i left out some details

Continuing from where i left off, the Gravelord himself will be summoned to your world or you will have to find the sign left by the Gravelord user and invade his world. if the Gravelord is summoned to your world all you would have to do is find him and kill him and added enemies would be eliminated. Now, if you have to hunt down the sign and invade, you will have 2 other players doing the same thing and the Gravelord user will face against 3 Black Phantoms
To everyone saying the Gravelord feature is going to be annoying, frustrating, and will even ruin the multiplayer experience, look at it on a entirely different perspectictive. The Pyromancer will use the Gravelord to summon enemies to 3 other player's worlds making it difficult, not impossible, and that is what Demons Souls was: difficult, not impossible. Now, I've read on multiple different websites that the Gravelord himself will be summoned to your world or you will have the find the sign
This feature is simply evil. So, I'm going to spawn a foe to torment another player's campaign just because... This will only be worthwhile if they always the victim to send a gravelord back to the specific player.
So that item spawns a gravelord in someone elses world, and then if they don't kill the gravelord it will be harder for them to finish the world? ... sound weird.
I going to defeat all the bosses without help. I did it in Demon's Souls and it was more challenging, rewarding and fun. Also, when I killed false king, I was fucking happy.
Speaking of which, demon soul fanboys are some of the most antagonising asshats I have ever met (not all of them, but still...), they can potentially ruined the entire game for u: by invading ur world and killing off vital NPCs. There are ways to overcome this problem but that doesn't lessen the sillines of the feature...

All the people are complaining about with this feature they will only play offline or not purchase the game at all. I agree it could be annoying if it happens, but you just deal with it. Its part of the game.
TO the people saying Gravelord is useless becuase it offers no benefit: Its is far from useless. The biggest problem I had with Demon's Souls was the lack of reward for invading as a black phantom.
Now with Gravelord (and hopefully other abilities like it) you essentially force other players to invade you so they can progress in their game. This promotes PvP and adds to the frequency you will interact with other players online.

This... sounds like a mistake. Demon's souls gave no disadvantages nor advantages other than original stats. Giving individual abilities may add some detail to characterization, but gravelording sounds relatively worthless.

Although I like the overall concept of this game, I'm a bit concerned about this new feature, it just seems to add difficulty without any reason, why would I want to make someone's playthrough frustrating without even being rewarded for that? It just seems pointless. I agree with the whole idea of making dark souls more difficult than Demon's souls, but please don't make it stupid hard.
@Tasoslive2 What would be cool though, would be to actually be transferred into the victim's world (universe) and try to hide the Gravelord into a specific place in the level (different each time) without being killed by the "host", and get some kind of reward for doing that :P

I did some research too; I'll start with Sorcerer.
1 - Every class can learn every Sorcerer spells, but require INT to learn them (Final spell require 50 INT)
2 - All Sorcerer spell dmg based on INT, (some magical melee weapon dmg scale with INT as well if not all of them)
3 - Except direct attacking spell, Sorcerer also have spells such as weapon/shield enhancement, self/weapon invisible, gears repair etc...
Conclusion: variety of spells, require INT and Attunement.

@ScienceBalance If i were you I first create a warrior then boost a few Attunement and buy the whatever spell of Pyromancer that looks cool. hey it "might" sux overall, but at least I'm satisfied. I personal don't like everyone going for the same build just because its strong not because we enjoy it. Beside even if it sucked it gives you a better idea when you create your next character, no one gets the perfect build at first time.

the ability of the gravelord comes from gravelord nito, "Lawful Evil". You place the sign on the ground, and that sign appears in 3 random players games. If the victim player is killed while ttheir world is infected their bloodstains souls that dropped are halved. to stop the curse the victims must find the sign and invade the gravelord users world and slay him. the souls the gravelord gather go to nito and he rewards you, eventually with Lich Form.

Also -- there's different covenants that directly combat Nito's: members of one covenent will actively hunt down members of Nito's covenant to gain humanity, while members of another covenant can "report" invaders by putting their names into a "book", allowing previously stated covenant the grounds by which to invade followers of Nito.

Gravelord is an ability given to you by Nito's covenant; not just anyone can use it. There's also risks involved -- while you're infecting three other people's worlds, they can at any time find where you placed the Gravelord item, and if they're all quick enough, can all invade "you" at once, pitting three of the griefed against the griefer. I think it's incentivized by giving you humanity when you use Gravelord, but I'm not entirely certain.

I'll probably end up picking the pyromancer since his stats are average compared to every other class and he only starts at lvl 1 so more customizing like the royal class in demons and also like the fact that I can make pvp happen more often

This offers more depth and RPG element bitches. You can RPG good by laying down green signs and great heals across worlds, this allow you to RPG evil Crying & saying that it free grieving is wrong, be damn sure that once a good player finds that Gravelord sign they're coming to kill the Pyromancer player. A fun give and take for the players on both ends. Video says "you don't get anything for doing this THAT THEY'ER TALKING ABOUT AT THE MOMENT" means there is something to gain yet to be revealed

Lol at all of the dislikes and negativity towards the gravelord ability. Think of it like this, once you've beaten the whole game and know all of the enemies and how to defeat them, wouldn't it be exciting to have new enemies added to your world?
You now have to option to kill the new enemies, kill the gravelord enemy, or invade the player that sent it and kill him. Keeps things fresh.

However, if you can invade other players, such as the one that set the gravelord, that makes it awesome. I really hope this game isn't all so much hack and slash that is compromises the ability to be skillful.

NPC) are more active an comes up more. also this game is meant to be CHALLENGING... not an easy breeze it test ur skills of survivability against, enemys and players when they invade ur world. but they said this ability has a draw back all 3 players that were invoked by the gravelord can invade ur world an kill u

@IntricateDolphin theres an item in the game that makes the "griefing" happen more towards the players who have invaded other worlds, so if you're just minding your own business, your chances of getting bum rushed are pretty slim. I didn't want to spoil too much so i left out some details

Continuing from where i left off, the Gravelord himself will be summoned to your world or you will have to find the sign left by the Gravelord user and invade his world. if the Gravelord is summoned to your world all you would have to do is find him and kill him and added enemies would be eliminated. Now, if you have to hunt down the sign and invade, you will have 2 other players doing the same thing and the Gravelord user will face against 3 Black Phantoms

To everyone saying the Gravelord feature is going to be annoying, frustrating, and will even ruin the multiplayer experience, look at it on a entirely different perspectictive. The Pyromancer will use the Gravelord to summon enemies to 3 other player's worlds making it difficult, not impossible, and that is what Demons Souls was: difficult, not impossible. Now, I've read on multiple different websites that the Gravelord himself will be summoned to your world or you will have the find the sign

Speaking of which, demon soul fanboys are some of the most antagonising asshats I have ever met (not all of them, but still...), they can potentially ruined the entire game for u: by invading ur world and killing off vital NPCs. There are ways to overcome this problem but that doesn't lessen the sillines of the feature...

TO the people saying Gravelord is useless becuase it offers no benefit: Its is far from useless. The biggest problem I had with Demon's Souls was the lack of reward for invading as a black phantom.
Now with Gravelord (and hopefully other abilities like it) you essentially force other players to invade you so they can progress in their game. This promotes PvP and adds to the frequency you will interact with other players online.

This... sounds like a mistake. Demon's souls gave no disadvantages nor advantages other than original stats. Giving individual abilities may add some detail to characterization, but gravelording sounds relatively worthless.

Although I like the overall concept of this game, I'm a bit concerned about this new feature, it just seems to add difficulty without any reason, why would I want to make someone's playthrough frustrating without even being rewarded for that? It just seems pointless. I agree with the whole idea of making dark souls more difficult than Demon's souls, but please don't make it stupid hard.
