This is just ridiculous. This girl has no clue to make tamales. I am sick and tired of people showing family reunions and naming it making tamales. Hey people why don't you title your show as family making tamales, but I have no clue how to and show it so that it would not be in the making tamales section. what a waste time. Have not been able to find a good site that gives a direct recipe of making tamales

@kvj1961 I like the method she shows of spreading it and rolling it, because I watched an "authentic old Mexican man" do it, and the way they spread the masa over the whole husk, the tamales fell apart when they opened it because the masa was all rolled up into the husk instead of around the meat. I like this way better, less mess and better to eat, in my opinion.

I've heard for years how labor intensive tamales are to make. I made some last week and it really wasn't any harder than making chocolate chip cookies once the filling was prepared. If you want difficult, try ravioli, now those are time consuming.

I am a white lady who makes Northern Mexico style tamales. No matter where they originated from, they are EASY to make, and so yummy! I do enjoy seeing any video on youtube I can find, to see someone else making them. Among the videos watched, the people have their own recipes both for the meat, the sauce, and the masa., AND their methods are also different, even to the way of cooking them. But the end result is YUMMY, no matter the nationality or method. TAMALES RULE!
