As for the poster of this vid. I love Mitsubishi, especially my evo x gsr. I drove the raliart before I decided to buy my evo. It is a very nice ride, but its no evo. I know if you put a full 3" turboback exhaust, intake, boost pill and get a custom tune, you will be way quicker than a stock evo in a straight line. Enjoy your car bro, there's nothing wrong with driving a Ralliart!

@vege22o. I know this is an old post, but you said the evo x gsr is a little slower than the mr! It's actually the other way around. The mr is about 3/10's of a second slower in the 1/4 mile, maybe more.
Oh, and as far as upgrading it, to make it faster, the best bang for your buck would be a Boost Pill and a ECU Flash, that will give it Evo X power in a straight line.
Just because they look similar, does not make them similar, their similarities are purely cosmetic, the inards of the 2 cars are VERY different, the Rallart scored a .80 on the skid pad, the Evo X scored a .99, thats a big difference.
There is a big difference between an Evo X and a Ralliart, I have a Ralliart and I can tell you there is a big difference, different AWD system, different Intercoolers, different Tirbo's, different suspension, different brakes and rotors...

i recommend everyone checking out DSPORT's magazine 7th anniversary ediion. awesome buy with great info and track times for the genesis 2.0 t, and V6, evo x mr, gsr, ralliart, STI. WRX 265, skyline GTR, 370 z, and RX-8. they used the same driver for each car.
Give this guy a break ok. I am an evo x gsr owner and i still respect the ralliarts... its mitsu's wrx killer. My car is in for a clutch work... :P 1 year to use up the clutch. Let me note the "MAJOR" difference. The evo x has a very different AWD setup than the ralliart, larger turbo, reinforced pistons & cam shaft, wider body, super all wheel control (ralliart dont have this...), brembo, enkei rims, advan tires, recaro seats, rear mounted battery & fluids (balances front & back weight).
I forgot to mention.... the front bumper and rear air diffuser is the killer... makes it look as agressive as a F-16. STI can go suck a dick with that ugly piece of shit hatchback.
not for the wrx 265 :P which is actual faster then the sti untill cruising speeds.
and 10k cheeper. ive been speculating on what i want for my next car. currently own the 06 ralliart, either the evo x gsr (because its only alittle slower then the MR) or the 09 wrx 265 with some miner suspension upgrades it would be a killer.
The Ralliart should not be compared to the Evo X as they do not even share the same track width front and rear! The Ralliart has the old Evo 9 driveline, less chassis bracing, less seam welds in body, piss poor brakes - suspension, wheels, tires, smaller intercooler, smaller ar ratios on turbo and single scroll, less forging of engine internals, more restricted intake etc etc...
BUT.... Not hating, still a great car for the money, I will wait for my Evo X however :D

Eh nice car man although a step down its still good, but you have some info wrong, the Evo is not a twin turbo car and its body is not the same, the Evo has wide body fenders and a lot more differences so although its quite similar its still quite different.
Your "normal" seats are simply evidence that this lancer is quite different than the evolution. If "normal" seats were in the evolution, you would have to put velcro on your ass to stay in the seat. In other words, your car is not nearly the performer an evo x is. You saved 8 grand and got what you payed for.

dont listen to the haters. get some coilovers and a few engine mods and you will be faster than an evo (maybe for less money too)
