Leann has a bigger, more resonant voice. it's apples and oranges though. I am a vocal coach. Carrie is a mezzo-soprano and Leann is more of an alto. So there is more low end in the voice that she carries up. Carrie has a higher instrument, and it is very beautiful and emotional. (both are). A little easier for her to belt super high, because the weight of the voice isn't as heavy. However it is a little thinner than Rimes'. That's just a fact. Still both beautiful voices.

i have a really deep voice but when i sing high notes its like it gets thinner and thinner is that normal? and if i have a low voice does that mean i can still higher notes becuz im rlly trying to expand my range and its workin a little but my high notes arent as powerful and it takes a lot of time to add one note to my range

Sure I will be glad to answer those questions... gotta run for now but will get to it later or tomorrow.  It is normal that your high notes get thinner if you have a really deep voice. That is the quick answer. But you can get higher as well; just not as high as mezzo sopranos or sopranos and others. Not to worry - you have that delicious low range so that will be your wheelhouse. LeAnn hands down is AMAZING. Carrie has a good voice and has obviously been packaged and sold well to the industry but that girl is so stoic, no emotion when she sings. When LeAnn sings you can feel each note. Kelly is also a artist who feels and makes her audience feel the music. They are 3 different artist but LeAnn and Kelly are seriously the way better artist.
