Carmelita has had the tumor on her leg since about 6 months prior her arrival from Detroit. She did not respond to oral chemotherapy, and veterinarians have chosen not to amputate the limb. The cancer is unusual, and the prognosis is unknown; however, she continues to do better than domestic cats with a similar cancer.
