@buckbumble yes, they are strong statements. Africa could feed itself and much of the rest of the world and also look after it's wildlife and natural resources too with the right leadership and governance and co-operative democracies, but... there is so much corruption and so many weapons and ruthless men using and abusing children to become soldiers for their despotic ways.
@wikidub Africa isn't feeding itself rather feeding the rest of the world. Yes, plagued by corrupt leaders and outside forces which are constantly meddling in the affairs of the continent. Most of the wars that are taking place are orchestrated by outside forces, hell bent on destabilizing the continent in order to extract the wealth for themselves. Ever watch the documentary called Apocalypse Africa: Made In America which outlines the west's involvement. Check it on this same website.
A must 5* plus wikidub..excellent post...i agree with some of what you say about Africa...BUT for the most part they will always lean towards the highest bidder as usually they dont have much choice as well as a consistent instability within their goverments...all the mugabe types dont help as they are mostly helped into power by the west in the first place....tunes for debate...excellent my man...
Tune likes these will never get mass airplay - how sad this is. I've liked Tena for years and he always tries to inject some serious lyrics that go straight to heart of the matter. He had a showcase album some years back but I can't remember the name of it but it had some heavyweight dubs similar to this tune on it. By the way, have you seen the dvd documentary called apocalpse africa:made in america. I urge you to see the documentary if you can.
Africa is on the rise. None of the African countries are ruled by western powers. Conflict in Africa does not last as long like the middle east. Hopefully once all Africans stop believing in false western god Africa will lead the world in reasoning and equality.
Certainly, the days of the British Commonwealth are long gone, or at least, greatly diminished, and it's influence in Africa, (like the French, Belgian, Dutch, and German colonial interests) is minor. However Africa in the 21st century seems to be linking itself much more with China, who is extracting much of the continent's raw materials to make goods that the West buys.
I hope what you say is true that Africa will lead the way in reasoning and equality, but hunger and poverty gotta go first.
great lyrics to this one! More modern reggae should have such righteous words.

It was probably "Take a Look at the World" from 1993 also on Keety Roots' Black Legacy label. A stunning album - way before its time.
Still not sure if it is Tenastelin or Tena Stelin.
Thanks for the info about the documentary - I will investigate.
