While I appreciate that it provides a realistic look into depraved murder, I really don't think it's suitable for anyone to watch. In my mind, the miniscule redeeming factors of this movie in no way counter the overall disgusting content it has.

This "film" if you can call it that, was an utter atrocity. It's only intention was shock value and it didn't even shock me. Someone needs to make a gore film based on the Houston Mass Murders. The story is so compelling and interesting on its own and I feel like if someone as good with effects as August Underground could get a hold of it I think it would be great.

I can watch "Cannibal Holocaust", "Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom", and "Flower of flesh and blood". But this was a bit too much.

Though the gurgling was a nice touch, for me it was more that when they had bags over their faces it sort of took away from the horror aspect of it because you can't see the person's facial expressions as these horrible things are being done to them

I actually really liked the idea of the head bags over their faces, perhaps because I could relate to how claustrophobic it would feel and scary because you'd never know what was going to happen next

Very good review, I watched mordum, then watched penance and then the original, might as well since there's no plot to them right? This one was the best gore wise out of all of them, penance hardly had any very gory scenes and the original wasn't that bad. Only thing is the ending of the trilogy was pretty anti climactic

@MsJackyie The August Underground Trilogy might be a little step up from those movies considering the controversial subject matter involved e.g. necrophilia, paedophilia and rape. As long as your not easily upset by those sort of subjects and have a strong stomach then I think you'll be able to handle them, and by the sound of what movies you've already seen, you seem to have a strong stomach haha! Very good point there made about the actors, they definately deserve some credit for that haha! Like I mentioned in the review, there's a phone interview with Fred Vogel on Youtube and I think the person interviewing asks him about getting the actors to do that stuff haha!

@crudnup I think it was rated number one because of the controversial subjects involved in it, but it's fair enough for people to have their own opinions on this movie and the top ten most disturbing films list

@killerwabbit95 This film documents the lives of three serial killers. The first one in this trilogy centres around one serial killer whilst his friend records everything. Mordum is alot more extreme and centres around three serial killers. Hope this helps :)

Its just purely disturbing. Not a good film like A Clockwork Orange. This is just insanly sick.

@MsJackyie The August Underground Trilogy might be a little step up from those movies considering the controversial subject matter involved e.g. necrophilia, paedophilia and rape. As long as your not easily upset by those sort of subjects and have a strong stomach then I think you'll be able to handle them, and by the sound of what movies you've already seen, you seem to have a strong stomach haha! Hope this helps :) Let me know what you think of them if you do watch them :)

Yeah, I've read that a lot of people prefer Redsin Tower over August Underground because of it's storyline. I'm interested in watching all of the Toe Tag movies to be honest but at the moment I'm trying to work through the August Underground Trilogy :)

Yo, thanks for the feedback :) Yeah, I think alot of people do miss the objective of this movie and perhaps that's why they don't enjoy it. Either that or the lack of story behind it.

I know what your saying, I wasn't really that disgusted when I watched it, just the necropaedophilia scene made me feel a little bit queazy. To be shocked by this movie, I think you need to watch it without researching into so you don't know what your letting yourself in for.

Very good point there made about the actors, they definately deserve some credit for that haha! Like I mentioned in the review, there's a phone interview with Fred Vogel on Youtube and I think the person interviewing asks him about getting the actors to do that stuff haha!

this movie didn't really meet my expectations. i was expecting this movie to make me cringe, but i was able to watch the whole thing through without being super disgusted. i guess i was expecting more, but overall it was ok.
