Ps3 couldn't run this on very high well maybe with 1 fps. Xbox would Run about -50 fps because it's even weaker than the ps3. But I don't have a gaming pc so the ps3 is perfect for me because it will run crysis 2 better than xbox3shitty. And have any of you guys played arma 2 it looks amazing.

Just my two cents: I do not find Crysis to be all that compelling for showcasing graphics. For example, around the 1:07 mark the palm tree has huge volumetric shadows as if there was a palm light from behind with a ton of dust in a dim room, where it should have been saturated out by the sun behind it. Things are just totally overdone in this game to the point of being ridiculous and all the pixel kiddies can do is drool over it. Meh.

@Snorglat Agreed. It is over the top, but at the time the video was made, 2009, there was no better game to showcase the graphics. Stalker was too obscure, 3DMark is alienating for people who just want to play games and see pretty visuals. Therefore this was the best and actually the most "compelling choice." But yes, I agree with you. I am not a fan of Crysis's gameplay nor its visuals.

@Snorglat The reason Crysis is a graphics showcase is not necessarily because of its visual quality so much as the demand its visuals exert on a computer's GPU. The standard assumption is that if your computer can run Crysis at max setting in HD, it is likely the highest-end gaming computer you could possibly really need.

i play crysis on lowest with 1 gig ram and laggs a whole lot. i cant record it because my computer will blow and its fan makes the noisiest ring ever. no joke i bought crysis maximum edition and then i have to by a graphics card.

@FlameTheFame PS3 hard wear was old compared to PCs back when it was released. You can build a $600 PC that will obliterate a PS3 in gaming, plus it does everything else that a PC can. The the PS3 came out it was still a lot slower than the computers of the time, and PC speed has gone up ten fold since then. I have PC's so powerful that they can run Crysis without any graphics card (only about 2 FPS, but is does run). Now graphics cards are more powerful than the PS3, and I run 3 GPU's.

Your're kidding me, U2 has great graphics, but remember its extremely linear unlike Crysis which is open world and has to be rendered on the fly which takes the latest PC GPU's especially if your gonna run the game Very High at 1920x1080 resolution. Crysis is nearly 3 yrs old and looks way better than U2 and you don't have to be a fanboy to see that it is.

yeah, i concur that the internet will eventually be able to stream 1920x1200 anti aliased video at 100 fps with zero lag, but this of course is sometime in the near-future, not now, and at that point hardware will have advanced beyond what the internet can do. What I am saying is the speed of hardware will exceed the speed of the internet always.

I play at 1440x900, but it's complicated. That monitor broke, so i used an old 1600x1200 for this, but cuz i wanted HD on youtube i filmed at 1280x720. My new monitor is 1920x1200. Expect a video shortly
