this is fucking awsome. I fell in love with canned heat in 1970 when my mom brought home a copy of 'boogie with canned heat'. She worked at some company that printed record labels and she could just take whatever record was there . I had tons of cool records. But I didnt have this one .

When I play this track for people I invite them to listen to the difference to the finest guitar solo on record, that of Harvey "The Snake" Mandell, and the worst guitar solo ever recorded, I'm sorry to say, that of the late Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson.

Alan Wilson was a sensitive guy, but he shouldda stuck on rhythm.

Harvey Mandell's solo is far better than anyone has ever recorded; way better than Jeff Beck and at least the equal of the late Fred "Sonic" Smith.

@ybravura Alan wilson was alos a good lead guitar plyer i guess he's just underrated and i think before you can jusge him you should play fuitar yourself to judge his guitarplay alan was a very good musician and guitar player

This was recorded in 1970 but Canned Heat goes back at least 1967
