Michael's sense of Rhythm and body for dancing are PERFECT even with like 30 dancers behind him you can't keep your eyes off of "him" there's nobody I have ever seen with that. He's like the chosen one. What would entertainment have been without Michael Jackson. So many pop stars tried to use his career formula but 99.9 % of them were just watered down versions of him if they weren't ...all his records would be broken by now ,30 years later. YOU CANNOT FAKE SOUL!
15 people do not know TALENT!!!! Michael Joseph Jackson was very talented! A Legend, A Superstar! I'm only 19 but I've loved his music especially "Thriller" since I was 13. I will continue to listen to his music for years to come and I hope to show my own children what a legend he was with these videos!
It is just so very down to earth. This dance master (The Bruce Lee, IP Man of Dance), is always alive no matter how many times you watch it, it puts you in that hypnitic trance that makes you want to dance. I also I acknowledge the the techer, teaching the rehearsal. Lots of great talent. I love it.

This choreography is amazing. It is made for zombies-how cool is that? The moves are artistically brilliant and rhythmic in every way. Truly one of the best group dances ever.

I know there just HAS to be some unreleased footage that didn't make it onto the making of thriller vhs. Come on John Landis release it. I know there is more stuff recorded. And there just HAS to be at least 1 deleted scene from the thriller video that never made the final cut.
i remember watching this live in 6th grade. the next day it was all anybody at school could talk about. up until then, only hip hoppers used to moonwalk. underground thing. mike took it and made it national. the first time anybody had seen him do it ever. he exposed a lot of people to elements of b-boy culture.

I was six or seven when this came out. I didn't have MTV, my family bought the VHS. After first watching this, I started pushing up the sleeves on my jacket, like he did. This is the MJ we all want to remember.

My mom went out and brought my nephew the jacket, and we all rocked the "Beat It" t-shirt. Those were the days. MJ was an awesome entertainer. I will forever miss him too. @leaz182 I agree with you re his natural ability to dance, however what you have to take into consideration is, there are many dancers who also have such a natural ability to dance, not all are that well known though. There have been ballet dancers, musical dancers, Look at Fred astaire for an example. These people were very talented in there own right. MJ was more known because he was in the modern music industry. The question of who is the best can not be answered.He was a genious though.

Mike was a great dancer no one is saying he was not but do not disrespect the other great dancers out there before and after him. That is simply an opinion. Many people didn't even like the way he danced so you can't say that people didn't feel anyone's dancing the way they did his because that's not true at all. He was an excellent dancer but let's not get ahead of ourselves and say he was the best dancer in the world. He is the most famous dancer. Best is an opinion not a fact.

Michael is the best dancer , singer, and person.He was so beautiful, the thriller and bad era was when i thouht he was BEAUTIFUL.But one thing ever since he died i have been seeing some very innapropriate comments abourt Michael. I still can't believe one of the dance teachers at my school was in Thriller. I always wanna ask her about the experience but I hate to get in her face about it :D. Not surprisingly she's one of the greatest dance instructors America has to offer. I'm privileged to have had her instruct my class several times!
And just for the record: there will never be another Billie Jean moment. The world has changed too much, the technology has changed too much - that was a serious once in a lifetime thing, and I hope we never lose the video of that dance. RIP Michael. Light perpetual shine upon you.

God I haven't seen this in over 5 years. I used to have an 8 hour tape of all Michael Jackson with the making of thriller. I still love this. An "innate" gift. God gets the applause for that one, but Michael's work, work, and work is what made it seem so effortless. As to the scandals that stain his memory . . . in this fan's view, when his children are grown and tell THEIR stories (as they just may) then we will know. IMHO no molestor goes after others' kids when he has his own. We don't have true proof he did wrong. We DO have proof that he was truely an original, exciting, trailblazing talent.

i remember watching this live in 6th grade. the next day it was all anybody at school could talk about. up until then, only hip hoppers used to moonwalk. underground thing. mike took it and made it national. the first time anybody had seen him do it ever. he exposed a lot of people to elements of b-boy culture.

WHOAA, MJ;s wearing dancing shoes and goes en pointe in them at 3:46- NO ONE in th ewhole of humanity will EVER understand how physically demanding and painful that is onyour feet! Even seasoned balle dancers have said it still hurts years after their first time, and MJ did it continuously in his tours, what a talent!

I was six or seven when this came out. I didn't have MTV, my family bought the VHS. After first watching this, I started pushing up the sleeves on my jacket, like he did. This is the MJ we all want to remember.

My mom went out and brought my nephew the jacket, and we all rocked the "Beat It" t-shirt. Those were the days. MJ was an awesome entertainer. I will forever miss him too. I think this is my favourite behind the scenes/rehearsal video of Michael.
That guy is so right about Michael's ability to dance compared to the people that learn dance.
And I've said this before..
I hate it when people say someone is as good at dancing as Michael was at his peak, because I don't see how anyone can be?
When Michael's dancing comes naturally and everyone else has to LEARN.

@leaz182 I agree with you re his natural ability to dance, however what you have to take into consideration is, there are many dancers who also have such a natural ability to dance, not all are that well known though. There have been ballet dancers, musical dancers, Look at Fred astaire for an example. These people were very talented in there own right. MJ was more known because he was in the modern music industry. The question of who is the best can not be answered.He was a genious though.

There are many other talented dancers, I just dislike comparisons to MJ.

@AnglOsAxOn2 yeah but it's obv mk was the best because noone can move the way he did and physically embody the music like he did. so although there are many natural dancers in the world, none of them have the flawless precision that mike had. that's what sets him aside from everyone else. when he danced you can feel his emotions and what he was trying toget across. that's something noone can do. even if he never spoke a word, you'd still understand what and how he was feeling from his movement

Mike was a great dancer no one is saying he was not but do not disrespect the other great dancers out there before and after him. That is simply an opinion. Many people didn't even like the way he danced so you can't say that people didn't feel anyone's dancing the way they did his because that's not true at all. He was an excellent dancer but let's not get ahead of ourselves and say he was the best dancer in the world. He is the most famous dancer. Best is an opinion not a fact.

Michael is the best dancer , singer, and person.He was so beautiful, the thriller and bad era was when i thouht he was BEAUTIFUL.But one thing ever since he died i have been seeing some very innapropriate comments abourt Michael. I still can't believe one of the dance teachers at my school was in Thriller. I always wanna ask her about the experience but I hate to get in her face about it :D. Not surprisingly she's one of the greatest dance instructors America has to offer. I'm privileged to have had her instruct my class several times!

An "innate" gift. God gets the applause for that one, but Michael's work, work, and work is what made it seem so effortless. As to the scandals that stain his memory . . . in this fan's view, when his children are grown and tell THEIR stories (as they just may) then we will know. IMHO no molestor goes after others' kids when he has his own. We don't have true proof he did wrong. We DO have proof that he was truely an original, exciting, trailblazing talent.
