  • When it comes to children who might have disorders of any kind, electroshock treatment is just plain cruel. Period.

  • shock treatment oh how nasty never ever i have a grandson with autisom and i sit with him and do stuff he wants to do he gets fed up easy then does other stuff like pointing when i say wheres the red car wheres the white one he is very smart be gets fed up and will stop quick then start at something else fast he must keep stimulated

  • Beautiful. All they did was upgrade Raol's functionality. That is the nearest thing you can get to a cure.

Plenty of Autistics are like that, so much so they never get diagnosed with it. The parents learn from the child. The child is doing what is natural to him. To prevent or modify that is like messing with someone's breathing!

Simple training folks. Well done. X

(By the way. How come I meet fellow Autistics in my work every week and we all have race traits in common? Damaged?)

  • @paulwady You simplified it too much - perhaps it could be so simple - just not that apparent...

  • I am an ABA Therapist and I love this method! Beautiful way of thinking. We should all embrace one's way of dealing with things.

  • if you embrace the autistic way of thinking, why do you work for a programme that seeks to rat it out then?

and yes i do mean rat out, because aba seeks to COMPLETLY change an autistic child, it sikkens me!

  • What is the name of the movie:)

  • @rakelzosk: It's called "Sonrise: A Miracle of Love" and is here on YT.

  • Years ago, we saw our daughter's Autism as tragic & were on the verge of divorce. Thanks to Son-Rise, the Autism Treatment Center of America, Options and the Kaufman's. Our 7.5 yr old daughter is progressing well beyond expectations. Our family is thriving. Our marriage is the best it has been in its 12 yrs. Thank you! I highly recommend to anyone dealing with life's challenges (not just Autism) that you read "No Regrets" by Barry Neil Kaufman. The book is an amazing journey of love & growth.
