RIP Malcolm, I constantly argue with some, that Mal is a pioneer he took a chance where some wouldn't and boom here we have this style of Hip-Hop! Coming from the Sex Pistols he recognized what Hip-Hop was and if only he could get his hands on some talent (Just- Allah &Cee-Divine) he could make a contribution in Hip-Hop. I absolutely looove the Worlds Famous Supreme Team and I miss the Supreme Team Show this was all at what turned out to be a very important time in Hip-Hop.
Oh Yeah. Fondly recall the RockSteadyCrew/Run DMC shows at the Ritz and Roxy back in the day. Mr Malcolm McLaren was wildly influential then and still. He will be missed.
The members of Art Of Noise was the co-producers of both albums "Duck Rock" 'n "D'ya Like Scratchin'"...U hear the similarities wit' "World's Famous" 'n the Art of Noise's classic "Beat Box"...

This is my early days right here. Video Music Box used to play this all the time in New York on channel 31. I came up with this and all great classic joints like it.
World Famous Supreme Team...Just Allah Superstar and C Divine Da Mastermind. Used to stay up til 2am to catch dem and Mr. Magic on WHBI. Damn, those were the days of real Hip Hop. I called in one night and got them to shout me and my crew out (Grand Master Mu and the 2 MC's Stevie Love and MC Shoo B). Got that ish on tape and took it to school the next day boppin on my boys boom box...Like Black Pearl, we go anywhere...

used to listen to these guys in jersey city in duncan projects in the early eighties on whbi.man that was when hip hop was totally different from today.
Does anybody know where I can get this track! That drum break has to be the best break ever made! Is this the world famous surprme team radio id song? I mean the beginning.
Man you brought back memories. Back in '82 I used to stay up 'till 1 AM to listen to these boyz on 105.9 WHBI to enjoy their breakbeat mixes, they were hard core at the time. One of hip hop's pioneer radio duos I must say!!!
Wow! you actually got to listen in? DOPE! I had to wait till the next day and my best friend Tony "chilly t Sinclair" would play me his tapes on the way to school. Thanks for checkin! PEACE.
this is the second half of the malcolm mclaren d ya like scratchin ep which are the songs worlds famous radio id till 3:20 then hobo scratch for the rest of the song.
You mean the one with the crazy radio on the cover right? I used to have the record. I think my my boy DJ KILCEE OR QUAZEDELIC got mine. I still got my Cassettes though!
You've just made someone very happy!!! Remember back in the 80's my grandad found a tape with this on in a bush and gave it to me to record on. I listened to it first thank goodness, found this and was hooked!! Thanks for uploading!!
This was my theme in 83. I had the EP and it stayed on the boom box all day everyday. Since then I've collected every track on that EP, and even a 12" extended version of Hobo Scratch. The only one I can't find is 'She's Looking Like a Hobo'. It came on between 'D'ya Like Scratchin' and 'Buffalo Gals'. This is real Hip Hop. The Best!
I was in High school when this came out...I remember listening to the Worlds Famous Supreme Team Show late at night, I loved their show, it was so sublime listening to WHBI with Magic rap Attack Show, ahhhh those was the best days of my life when rap was rap!!!! The Best!
